Default CB

So who all has a CB in their Ranger?

Used to be a big thing, went away, now I have noticed it is comming back...

I don't really know my feelings on it, I feel like a old man talking on one though.. haha. If you have one post a pic of your install though.

I've got one, it's nice, Gives me something to listen to other than the radio. I'm looking at redoing the antenna set up actually. For anyone interested I would say go for it.

I got my pics for the setup in my album.

I don't have one in the truck yet, since space is limited due to me having a stick shift, I'll probably go the "all in one" route where the mic is pretty much the CB.

Also, since I have a bed cap, I'll proabaly mount a whip antenna on the right side of the rear bumper. Not the best omni-directional set up but good enough for talking to drivers coming the other way on the high way.

I have a Cobra 25 in the F100, but nothing in the Ranger. I'm not really sure where i'd put one in the Ranger. In a few years if I still have the Ranger i'll put one in it. I should be able to figure out where I want it by then.

I use to have one. I had a small midland brand piece of junk. My dad has been a trucker since 1977. I had a home base setup with all kinds of high powered amps. antenneas, echo boxes, etc...

I took it out of my truck tho, since I have a nextel and since they came out with there walky talky feature (not Direct Connect) I guess I havnt a need for one.

It was nice to have before cell phones were real big and nice for hitting the trails with your buddys. That would be the only reason I would have one now, for when your out trailing everyone can comunicate.
