Well... when the car was in for inspection today, the washer fluid managed to un-freeze itself... but then we realized that the pump was burned out, apparently from trying to use it with no fluid running through it

Maybe it's a blown fuse?

its costly? i paid $1.98 for it 2 weeks ago when i ran out of the rain-x debug mix.

Nope, the pump was bad. it was only $51.00 for the pump, not too bad.

Which would be great but it wouldnt pass inspection until the pump gets fixed

If I remember correctly, it is the same price. I've been using the orange Rain-X with no problems. Debug and low temp in one jug.
