05 ranger is paid off and the 89 was a free gift

2 more years on the Beetle and we are done buying cars. That first beetle we had was just a base model the second had every option available so we traded up it was a BA ride

I loved it so much it sucked trading but then came the TDI beetle available at the dealer and it was equally equipped other than the engine

The one we currently have is a 2.5 5 cylinder and it hauls balls

I love driving it by my self with the windows up and getting next to a "sports" car and kicking it's butt.

Putts a smile on my face cause the license plate reads IM JULZ so they think some chick just blew them away

The 2.5 5 cylinder is very similar to a turbo charged beetle

Ranger cant keep up after 60 feet sometimes

I can kill any sports car off the line but it's over after 60 feet

true but then just race 'em for 59 ft and then pretend to go easy as if youve laready one the race!!
i dont think many sports cars have a chance at matching the 4.0L's tourque off the line

Not just the 4.0 but a 4.10 axle with L/S helps also

1978 Fiat Spider (first car, bought for $50, fixed for $250, totaled 1 year later :-))
1980 Chevy Citation (junked it after a while)
1986 Chevy Chevette (bought for $300, traded-in after 1 year)
1992 Subaru Loyale (liked it a lot, got ripped off when i sold it)
1986 Ford LTD (bought for $500, traded-in after 1 year)
1999 Ford Escort ZX2 (GREAT car, bought new, traded in 10 years later, just short of 200,000 miles)
2009 Ford Ranger FX4 (love it, hope it turns out even better than the Escort)

you had good luck with the escort but they all seemed to last good cause they were simple
and dont worry, im pretty sure the ranger will outlast thte escort and it must be sick to have an FX4..man i love those things(especially the new ones)..what colour is your FX4?

It's the black/shadow grey two-tone. There's an album (pre-BedRug/tonneau cover) in my profile.

I always thought those ZX2 escorts were the best little ford ever made

I saw a 2009 Zx3 focus last weekend but didn't see anything special about it compared to a regular focus
