Re: all your vehicles
My last year of High School "99", I drove a 97 Ranger. 2005 my step father put the title in my name. 2 years later he gave me his 2002 Ford Ranger.
As of today, I still have both.

Re: all your vehicles
i finally got a day with most my vehicles here. these are all that have been road drivin. (legal/and not so legal :P)
1998 GMC safari 4.3l v6 auto, 220k miles. thing is an great party van, and its got some power (runs next with my blazer)
2001 s10 blazer ls 2dr, 4.3l v6 5-speed 2wd, 4" cowl hood w/ hood pins, high flow cat no muffler with y pipe duals w/ 3" chrome tips, 2 12" bowstwick hd pro 300w subs, with 300m kenwood amp, and pioneer stereo. this was my daily till it had fuel problems and emission, i'd still be driving it if it wasnt costing so much money to fix and for gas. things got some BALLS with the 5 speed.
2006 kia amanti 3.5l v6 198hp 210lb torque auto, wood interior adjustable, heated leather seats with infiti sound system and screen display. kinda looks like a jag, and performs really well! kinda like riding a cloud with some guts.
1988? 944 porsche 4cyl non turbo with a manual trans. i dont know complete specs on it, dad got two in a trade for something, one had a bad body and one had a bad motor, so did a little switcheroo, she just needs an ecu to get goin!
1988 ford ranger XLT long bed 2.3l auto, my rebuild/dd truck for college. im starting a rebuild thread you can check it out there.
2006 F-350 powerstroke ext cab 6.0l v8 turbo diesel auto with and ambulance upgrade( bought from power company), 4x4 w/ front manual locking hubs, and a big-ass front bumper. alot of ppl say the 6.0's are junk, but its only had a few problems, usually due to our previous owner, other than that its big as hell, FAST as hell, and fun as hell offroad!
my favorite one of all:
1998 dodge ram 3500 cummins turbo diesel with a super chip w/ custom cowl hood, dual 5" stacks from a freightliner, top wing for a peterbuilt, and 3 different front bumpers guard(havent figured which one looks best). my dad owned a big rig custom shop, so back then he had a ton of chrome accessories, lights and whatnot, we still do, so its been passed down to me :P. the engine i pretty much bullet proof (itll smoke most duracraps and most powerstokes, though we've had some trouble with the trans, and its been in two wrecks, both in the front, which it why its getting rebuilt. once the garage is built its going on block to be completely redone.
1980's international back hoe carrier, manual diesel, i think its a cummins. mods are wood flooring leftover from kitchen remodel, and interior neons.
1970's tour bus converted into an rv, just ask for pics of inside if u wanna see. its has a rear mount v8 diesel. we call it the "green hornet" . got it from a friend in alabama for $400 i think. the same guy is tryin to convince the old man to buy a fiero gt that has a Lamborghini countach body lol.
heres some that arent tagged, but still road drivin. : (too manys pics? nah who cares :P)
early 80's late 70's (i think) Massey Ferguson 245 diesel tractor "wilbur". mods are yellow flame job, and replaced the gay skinny tires for 32's, filled with water.
a ditch witch with 4 way steer
and my dirtbike collection:
90's suzuki 80cc 4 stroke and a 2003 suzuki drz 125 4 stroke
2004 honda crf150 and a suzuki 250 2 stroke ( being rebuilt)
some offbrand dr 50 bike with dual exhaust w/ speedo, electric start and a sticker of a monkey on it?
and last week we got a kawasaki kx 80 2 stroke that needs a gasket to run, the guy threw in two awesome minibike frames that are gonna be badass when i get to finishing them!
that's about it. lol

Re: all your vehicles
1999 Pontiac Grand Am Se1. my first car when I turned 16. It was a 2.4L DOHC I4 mated to a 4 speed automatic. Fully loaded (sort of) Power package, AC. and Cassette . So many things went wrong with it. It was my aunts and she never took care of it. When I got it in 2005 it was 6 yrs old with 150,000 KMs and it was beat to shit. Paint was peeling everywhere. the front bumper was cracked and spotted and peeling. the rear bumper had a kissed a cement post and was glued and repainted by brush and household paint . The power door looks stopped working, the Ac stopped working. the Cassette would continuously search and say "No Disc" even though it was a cassette only. I went through 2 sets of front brakes in 8 months (not my fault I wasnt hard on it). both front wheel bearing were toast... twicem meaning the traction control and ABS never worked properly. the Rad didnt work so if it Idle for more then 10 mins then it would dangerously overheat. It was hard on gas. My dads truck didnt better on gas then my car. The tranny started going. Slipping and refusing to downshift when you wanted to pass, you had to manually take the gear leaver and shift from D4 to 3. Once my engine light came on and it started running rough, my dad checked out and determined that it was only running on 3 cyl. and the headgasket was soon going to blow so I sold it.(2005-2007 150,000-173,000 KMs)
(not my car but this is it exactly :P)
1992 Honda Accord EXR- 2.2L I4 with a 4 spd Auto. Fully loaded with power sunroof, power group. spoiler, and dual exhaust. I got it at a tough 287,000 Kms after my brother had used it more like a truck (towing a large trailer and tools, drifting and mild offroading ). My bro had bought a truck and was selling me his car so I sold my Grand Am and bought the accord for $2200. Put in a new windshield and it was great. Lots of performance, great sounding exhaust (not ricey it was OEM) It was comfortable and it got 38 MPG. But it was showing its age with rust on the truck and fenders. prob though. my timing belt pulley let go while on the highway and I bent most of my valves. Performance was almost all gone and it hated to idle (it would stall idling at a light) One day driving home from paintball my car was vibrating like crazy at highway speeds. My dad check it out and determined that it was running on three cylinders. started checking the spark plugs while the car was running and it stalled. It never ran again. Sold it to a Junkyard for $300 (2007-2009, 287,000-317,000 KmS)
2002 Hyundai Sonata GLS- 2.4L I4 with 4 spd shiftronic auto. After my Honda died. I needed a car ASAP. So i took a bank loan for $5000 and set out. Tested many Nissan Sentras, Hyundai Accents but didnt find anything I liked. I absolutely wanted a manual but the ones I found were are rough looking. So After wanting to look at a Mazda Protege SX 2L that was already sold, I saw the Sonata. It had everything I wanted except AC. but it was auto. I test drove it and liked it but it was more a cruiser then a speed demon like the Accord. I like the shiftronic so I bought it. $5,500 and it had 106,000 KMs. Uneventful ownership. Great car with no issue. I pretty much just maintained it and put a $12 gromet for the PCV valve and thats it in 2 yrs. Just during the cold, you could hear the lifters ticking but its normal for these engines. It was just a bore to drive. It was great on fuel too. 39 MPG over a 3,000 Kms trip. I gave my car to Emilie when i bought my truck. She traded it in on her Forte Koup SX. (2009-2011 106,000-146,000 KMS)
2011 Ford Ranger Sport - 4L SOHC manual power everything, Cruise and privacy glass. I have wanted a truck for so long and it had to be manual. I dreamed of getting a Tacoma but they are too expensive. I was looking at 2005+ tacos for a while and found the perfect truck. A 2005 Tacoma Crew Cab Manual (pretty rare) for $23,000 Booked an appointement to see it but it was sold just a few hours earlier . Was going to look at a 2008 Nissan Frontier Crew Cab Manual 2wd but at $23,999 and the interest rate, it was a little more expensive then I could afford. So I started looking at Club cab and King cab trucks (Nissans and Toyotas) but found them to be inflated in price with high mileage. Started looking at Ford Rangers (love the looked and my cousin had a 2008 with no issues) Saw how cheap the used trucks were so I knew thats what I was going to have until....
Jan 2011 Ford offered $6,000 rebate and buying new was cheaper. Plus it meant I didnt have to compromise colour, options and powertrain. Didnt want the 3L, didnt want auto and didnt want manual windows or Silver.
Test drove the only Manual ford ranger in my area. it was a black 4x4 sport barebones and I loved it. So I ordered my truck but it was supposed to be Vista Blue, not black. Emilie meanwhile was trying to sell her Beetle and she did, within a week so we were down to one car, and I needed a vehicle since I gave her the Sonata. Saw the salesman and told him I need a truck ASAP. So he found one in Toronto but it was black but everything I wanted (minus bucket seats, oh well). so he ordered it. I was aproved by Ford Financing, but the Finance guy who will remain nameless didnt want to fiance me since he said that my Sonata loan wasnt substantial enough (WTH????, Ford says yes, but you say no?). Had to have my Dad talk to the guy who was an S.O.B. and he finally agreed pending a $1,000 Down payment, oh well so I paid it and a week later, took delivery and have loved the truck every since. (Jan 2011-Current, 586-8,000Kms and more to come)
In 6 years, 101,000 Kms driven. (Avg of 17,000 Kms a year )

Re: all your vehicles
Oldest to newest in order of ownership...
1. 1996 Plymouth Neon 2.0L SOHC 5-speed Mopar Performance PCM
Maddog STS w/ rod brake
Booger solid shift bushings
Painted interior
2x 500w RMS subs in a custom trapezoid box
CAI
52mm TB
This car took a hell of a beating. Before all of those mods it topped out at 118mph. After all the mods, I took her up to 135mph. Yes, I was a little hellian when I was young. Got an evading arrest in this vehicle. Man I miss it. Only time it ever let me down was when I hydrolocked it with my CAI in 2 feet of water. Replaced the motor and ran 2 seconds faster in the 1/4. Good times. I eventually sold it cause the tranny went out... first it broke my axle, then three days after replacing the axle the tranny blew. Ironic.
Mine's the white one in the back left corner...
2. 1995 2.0L VW Golf 5-speed
This thing was totally gutless, reverse blew out in it, was prone to breakage, so I got rid of it.
3. 1989 Ford Taurus 3.0L
It took care of me while I took care of it. 200k miles when I sold it last week, all I ever replaced was a little bit of brake line, the battery, two tires, plugs, wires, outer tie rod ends, and a water pump (which had so much play in it it must have been going bad for a year)
Sold her for what I bought her for, $500, and she is bound to need work any day now. (needs lower ball joints, front a rear brakes, both axles, etc.
4. 1994 Ford Ranger 2.3L SOHC (170k miles) Bought her for $700, replaced the timing belt, headgasket, top end gaskets, timing tensioner, water pump, etc. Two new tires and one rim, registered her and just started daily driving her. Have about $1400 invested total including tax title and registration.
She came with a tool box and has a new clutch :]

I am sorry to hear that. I have always known that the front crash tests on the neons SUCK BALLS. But they can handle a roll pretty well.
