Default Guys With 2 Jobs, I need some advice

Im currently working at Keystone Potato products (Full-time) 7:00am-3:00pm monday through friday. My brother is going to try to get me into the Lowe's Distribution Center where he works. My situation is that at Lowe's it's Friday/Saturday/Sunday 6:00am-6:30pm. If I get the job, Im going to talk to Keystone about going to just Monday-Thursday. Obviously it would be considered part-time so no benefits through them anymore, but Lowe's has pretty good benefits from what he said. he said they start at mid $12's which is more than what Im currently making at Keystone and Ive been there for over a year.

Am I going to burn myself out by working this many hours/days a week? I like working at Keystone, it's relatively fun, but its just the fact that the money's not that great. Give me some advice guys.

Do it, your young and have no kids. I once had 3 jobs and just sleep and work and when you get tired of it or timing is right pick the one with the best pay and benefits. BE A WHORE!

Like my dad says: "make hay when the sun shines".

I worked my ass off from 18 to ???...I started working 50hrs a week, then 60hrs then 80+hrs a week. I have little to no memory of my 20's...it's all just a blur.

I'd be glad to be able to work a single job right now.

Don't be fooled by Lowe's "good" benefits either. Most of their employees are considered part time & they don't get any benefits at all. If you're lucky & they keep you for a year and allow you to hit 40hrs a week (which the rarely do) they'll find a reason to lay you off so you have to start over again. I know people that have worked there for 15+ years that are still considered part time, no benefits, no insurance, no retirement, nothing but a cheap red/blue smock.
If they'll pay you $12 an hour, take it and run! (just make sure to save every penny you can NOW)

I have two jobs. Kinda three. I work for two companies and when i'm not scheduled at those i'm with my dad working for him. It does get old sometimes, but it will make a man out of you. Its to the point now that its nice to get one day off every 2-3 weeks to clean the house and do some laundry, but anything more then that and I just feel bored.

I'm 24, have no kids and no girlfriend....so I can work as much and as long as I want. I have Friday and Sat nights off, so I can chill with friends and relax then. So its not so bad.

But after awhile I'm sure you will get burnt out. But you have to keep it in your head that jobs are scarce, and its good to make as much money as you can now. Just don't blow it on stupid stuff and you won't regret it.

Honestly dude 2 jobs isnt bad at all you just gotta choose what things are important n plan things out accordingly. I work mon-fri from 12am to 5am at UPS Freight Facility and then like low 20 hours at local Sears. I work like 45 hrs a week but I also go to University of Louisville full time so working 45 is tough enuf especially the night hours. But I still have a few hours everynite b4 UPS n weekends to do stuff so its really not that bad. Got out of a 4 yr relationship so im still single right now n im building a mustang when it warms up. You get used to it n i figure im def going to havta work atleast 45 hrs a week the rest of my life to make any good amount of money. Obviously itll b better without having college but id stick to keystone n look for a differet part time job. Lowes can be a joke about their benefits n can really play lil games with ya atleast around here. So id keep your reg job n find a good part time job that u can pick n choose your hours n kinda enjoy. Like a Sears, Autozone, Advanced Auto, etc.. The discount are nice to, I just ordered my Duratrac 33's sunday n paid $748 out the door with mounting n balacing, life time road hazard, n life tme balancing n rotations.

I've worked one job, two jobs, three jobs, and even four jobs for a couple of months (always with one full-time). Even one full-time job can burn you out of you end up working too much overtime or missing a weekend or two. Just make sure that you're not working 7 days a week... your body really does need AT LEAST one day to just chill. Get yourself at least 8 hours of sleep per night - doctors don't recommend it for no reason.

im thinking about getting a second job with a house purchase coming up and all. I worked at Lowes Hardware for 1 1/2 years before i graduated college and got my drafting job. I work monday though friday and want to work at lowes again like three days a week but no weekends again!

I sit at a desk all day and have gained 20 lbs since i quit lowes. I feel like it would help me keep my weight off (ive always been real skinny, im not fat now, jsut gained 20 lbs up to 185). Id also like the extra money

If you like the work you do and you say it is fun at the potatoe place, then that trumps the money unless it is like a $6.00 bucks an hour more. Talk with your current boss and ask for a raise tell them you been there over a year and see what they say.
and be sure Lowes is Full time, I doubt that at first may just be seasonal workers needed. Good luck Adam
