Around here it'd be in the 100-150$ range. Few months back I got pulled over for 60 in a 40 and it was a 120$ ticket.

Water lines froze. Pvc pipe going into the house busted. Ball valve won't open. Blew out my only 13mm socket trying to crank torsion bars. Wife hasn't taken her lazy ass of the couch all day. This is why I drink.

13 years ago I got stopped for 60+ in a 45, I got lucky because the officer was pretty nice and wrote me up for five over plus gave told me to do the 8 hr traffic school so I wouldn't get points on my record. Ticket was 165, I don't even want to how much it would have been otherwise.

The officer was nice to me as well, didn't get me for reckless driving.

His situation is exactly what my brother did to me and his wife at my grandmothers cabin. It was about 5 degrees, I'm out with a propane torch thawing the faucets and lit the portable grill to thaw the pipe coming out of the water tank in the pump house which had spit on the tank side of the shutoff valve. I had to patch the leak and when I got done I was soaked.

It was below 0 with the wind. We got the Pvc pipe fixed and got the lines thawed, but we still have no water because either a chuck of ice is lodged in the valve or the valve is broke and won't open. Either way, I think I'm just replacing the valve tomorrow morning.
