1st Doctors Appointment for my acid reflux issues.
Blood work done, results negative for diabetes, bacteria infection, etc.
$30 copay
Get bill for $489 which is my portion to pay from a $1300 lab bill.

Get referred to another Doctor.
$30 copay.
Doctor wants to do an EDG.
Another appoint is made for that procedure.
$30 copay, procedure done, results show an ulcer and a hitalhernia. Im put on meds, and referred to another doctor for my tonsils.
Have yet to receive the bill for the EDG, which i am sure will be $2,000+

Had my appointment today with the tonsil specialist, had to drive an hour to go there.
Paid $60 specialist copay, just to have this specialist look at my tonsils in my mouth and confirm they need to be removed.
Now an appointment is made for Feb 23rd to have them removed. But before that can be done, i have to have yet another doctors appointment made for a physical.
Doing that right now back at my local clinic, another $30 copay just to talk to a doctor and have yet more bloodwork done and rack up more bills.

I hate this freaking medical and health system and the whole medical/health insurance crap.

Are you pregnant? Because that can cause acid reflux disease.

Regardless of your pregnancy status, time to change your lifestyle.

I mean one appointment after another, one copay bill, then one big azz bill after another. Its ridiculous.

No im not pregnant. I have acid reflux do to an ulcer in my stomach. The ulcer is due to stress and not getting enough sleep, caused by my enlarged tonsils...

if you bought a mcculloch I hope you're ready to be doing lots of fixing to it...

It's actually a Husqvarna 445 with a 20 inch bar and right on the metal it says Husqvarna AB made in Husqvarna Sweden. Now Husqvarna owns mcculloch, redmax, Poulan, jonsered, and ect. Everything except dolmar, stihl, and some other Japanese companies.

Yep. Just like DEWALT is made and owned by Black and Decker!

Owned by the same company and being the same products could be different things.....

One does not always equal the other.

Yep. True of course.

When i worked at a Hardware supply store thru highschool and college, we had drills and other tools on display. Each tool had a tag that had the price and the manufacturer name on it.
The Dewalt tools all said "Black and Decker", and alot of customers were confused about that. Then i would always pick up the product box, flip it over and show them on the bottom of the black and yellow Dewalt box it said Manufactured and Disturbed by Black and Decker Industries.

Being this is the 'vent thread' - I'll expand a bit....lol

For example - Everyone always brings up that Johnson Controls makes/owns xx% of all automotive battery brands or that they are made in the same factory....blah blah blah.

I don't see anything meaningful in that statement.

They might be owned & even manufactured by the same parent company - but that doesn't mean that all (or even any) of those products have the same characteristics, quality, price point and/or even target audience.

They just want more $$$$ by having a larger percentage of the given market. Appeal to a larger overall audience of potential customers.

Being made in the same place doesn't mean it's the same.

Sure, you might see a machine that boxes stuff with different brand names...but!...you don't know shit about the internals, ingredients used, quality of said ingredients or parts, etc...

Just because I have the ability to make a piece of shit with the same looks as the high quality one...doesn't make them the same.

Take this for example...this ice cream is highly likely made in a place where other stuff is made and boxed similar for a different company.

So, is this ice cream "the same" as ice cream that comes from the same place that's boxed by the same machine?
