Default And the scams continue,,,,,,

As is my habit now a days, I don't answer any phone, unless I recognize the number. At least the latest had the dubious "courtesy" as leaving a voice mail, and left a number to call. They told me my Windows License Key had expired, and to call them ASAP. It was a pisspoor robocall.
It's another scam, if there was to be a problem, I'm sure Microsoft wouldn't be calling me. And even if a notice like that came across as email, I wouldn't call it. I'd look it up first, then decide if it's legit.
Just a word to the wise, first time I ever got that one.

I got one once, and I asked him 'how would my phone number ever get associated with Windows?' He hung up on me.

A while back, I had a real live POS on the phone. I let him go thru his heavily accented BS story, and acted like I was interested. He wanted a credit card of course, And I asked for his. Click was all I heard. Sorta pisses me off I couldn't screw with him.

My 1500 call blocker is worth it's weight in gold! The worst annoying calls I get is from my Medicare insurance, trying to tell me how my lifestyle out to be.I block them but they keep trying.

Like John, I don't subscribe to much either. 4.5 years ago I really put reeling in all social networks and anything in the public. It took me several legal notices and lawsuit threats and 8 mos to get off Facebook totally. I dont use my address for ANY mail atleast not associated with my personal name. Skipped the PO box and just have everything sent to General Delivery like it used to be.. Until they [try to] make it a law that I have to accept mail.. I dont get a whole lot of anything and when I do its 95% legit. Your home address, 2 letter State ID, and zip code mean a heck of a lot more than you think.

Places that you shop at that ask your zip or phone number, I tell them I'm not interested they skip right over any screen prompts and go to a cash sale. My paper trails are minimal if at all in some cases.

People think they shop for commodities and products where in truth WE are the commodities. Corporations and business compete and pay for your information. the fact so many people are so much in a hurry to do nothing they click whatever TOS agreements necessary and give up SO much information without really understanding or knowing it.

Gawd I feel a rant coming up soon...
