My Dad and stepmom won't let me move out. They came up with 100 invalid points of why. I am so pissed. They just want a damn maid! My dad moved out at 18. They said you can't work and go to community college it just won't work, but a few months ago they where in favor of me going to UTI in Orlando and having a job while in school! WTF! That is being a hypocrite! Apparently being 400 miles from home on my own, in school, and with a job can be done, but 40 miles away can't. That makes 0 sense.

I officially fucking hate Mr. Tires and what they have done to me. I went there today to pick up my truck. They go and tell me it's going to be 1,663.35!!! So I paid and got my receipt. I looked at my receipt and it goes to say that they had to replace my water pump, rear ext. housing, thermostat, a coolant flush, valv cooling system, and a fuel system process? What the fuck?! All they told me on the phone and in person is that the PCV hose needed to be replaced and that my rear main seal and oil pan gasket. They said I also have a coolant leak but does that really mean it's the water pump? I never saw a coolant leak ever and I could of easily fixed it myself. All I wanted was my rear main seal and oil gasket to be fixed. They clearly did not explain what all the problems and get into detail with me over the phone or in person. And is it mandatory that when putting the trans back in, you need to do a trans flush? They over charged me exactly 987.27 dollars from me which I could still have in my bank. This is just really fucked up and tomorrow, I'm going down there again because what do you know, I still have some oil leaking from either the rear main and my catalytic converters. Also the converters were smoking too. And me and my sister are also going to fuck up there day tomorrow and try and get some compensation back from them. Again, fuck Mr. Tires and please DO NOT GO THERE!!! I should of taken 2 weeks off from work and do this shit myself or with a friend. DAMN!

I'm sorry to hear that Jordan. Unfortunately, this is common place. IIRC, you're young like me, which is why they screwed you over. They automatically assume you don't know shit from shit. Definitely give em hell!

Thanks Shaun. Actually, I'm not going to give them hell due to this: one, they already have my money and is not going to give it back. Two, the parts are already installed and it's staying there. And three, the damage is already done; if I argue, it's not going to lead me anywhere but high blood pressure and the cops coming to the place. I already vented about it and hope that whoever reads this and the one I posted before will not go to Mr. Tires at all! And if you do decide to go or any other place, please please please get whatever they tell you IN WRITING! I know it's going to take me a month and half to put the money back but I know one thing is that the truck is running better than before with no leaks or kick backs when shifting. But half the parts they installed I could of bought else where for cheap yet OEM quality and could of installed it myself. So again, fuck Mr. Tires. I officially hate them with a passion

I do all my own work for this exact reason that Jordan is experiencing.

And for now on, that's exactly what I am going to be doing, my own work. With my dad or not I'll do whatever it takes to never shred that about of money to anyone!

Good mindset to have. If you gain a general understanding of how vehicles work, it's really not that hard to work on them. The hardest part is gaining the confidence to do it. I did my first oil pan gasket when I was 15. Talk about being nervous as hell. And that wasn't even on a truck I drive!

Really? Wow congrats on that man shoot. Yeah when my dad is with me, he teaches me everything about cars and trucks and the parts and what goes with what and how to fix it. But we tend to fix it together. When he leaves for work overseas, just like you said, I would be nervous as hell on how to fix it and worried if I would mess something up and would in the end have to pay it to get it towed to a shop. So I still need that confidence in me to to do such a thing to anything on the truck or other vehicles. Oh and the time to do it as well. Would hurt to have some friends for help/motivation

Thanks man. I've watched my dad work on his own vehicles for all of my life, from simple oil changes, all the way up to timing set replacements on DOHC and OHV vehicles. But that oil pan was the first time I ever did anything major by myself on a vehicle. It helps that it was my F100, since it didn't need to be on the road the next day. It was still a good way to build confidence up though. Then, when I was 16, I took the entire dash out of the F100 to chase down wiring faults. After doing something that involved, nothing scares me now. Except for SOHC Fords. I'll eventually get over all the timing chains though.

Nice. Yeah I just did side by side comparison and found out I could of saved 1,034.87 if I done the other parts myself. It's fucked up but I'm going to stop talking about it and get my mind off of it before it gets at me again
