this is my vent! im being dragged along because my gf (whom i love dearly!) cant figure out why she is not as happy as she thinks she could be

we fight all the time and its hard cuz im hard of hearing and shes hearing and we dont sign as much cuz its just easier to talk but she is losing her patience with me...i dont know what ill do w.o her

she gets mad so easily and i get real defensive and ofc that makes her mad...i dont know how to "fix myself" i want to be the man she wants me to be.....but im not and id hate to see a relationship that im really happy in...end! i want her to be happy too and if im not in it....i want to know! fuck..i love her and we probably wont last the week cuz she is at the end of her wits and in someways i am too.....

Hey friend, even the best people seem to be unfortunate in some areas, and unfortunately for you it's your hearing, That's not your fault and to be with someone where they lost something as important as our hearing, well people around us need to be understanding and have more patience. I understand you might like this girl, but she needs to accept you for who you are because that's not something you can change. It might just be an off week where she will realize that she is the one who needs to change and be more patient and understanding about what you are gonig through as well. I just hope you guys work things out but if she doesn't get more understanding, I can't see you be as happy as you should be. You should be with a girl who loves you for you are, not who she wants you to be.

thanks man, she is taking sign languae courses and we have finally been using it more regularly

we have a stats class together (and bio) but anyways doing homework together is just impossible and we fight we honestly sat next to each other not talking for 2 hours today cuz we had to share a book wtf is that shit? we fought baout the fact she didnt want to do a section cuz she was frustrated w it and she wouldnt let me explain it so we finally did a diffy one and cuz she was already mad at me andi was mad at her, asking her for help on my own hmk was outta the question but ofc i asked anyway and it just made things even worse....

like i want to stand tall and be like ill be okay! and i will be......someday!!! how do you find a girl who is so good for you? its amazing how much she does for me plus shes an amazing cook!

ive thought (regardless of my age ...22) seriously about proposing someday...i hope we push thru this...this is definitely a wake up call for me and im definitely gonna be better but it takes two to tango ya know? she talked about doing a break but i dont think wed recover from a break but i think thats what were on now but i still have to see her and stuff...who knows!

how many couples survive a break, not many that i've heard, when couples take a break they don't communicate and communication is key. I know what you mean about proposing when you've found the "one" I am also 22 and proposed to my fiance when I was 19 and haven't regretted it since you just know when you have found the one. We all have rough patches, I know, I went through one recently and that was my own undoing, but thankfully my fiance was patient and we pulled through, if she is the one then you guys will overcome this, but you need to talk, going to bed angry never works and taking a break is murder as well. No matter what problems you face talk it out. Show her that you appreciate everything she has done, but she also needs to appreciate you for the effort you put in. Hang in there, meet in the middle and if you guys overcome this and still feel like you want to spend the rest of your life with her then the proposal is a good idea
