Today some kid came up to me at the Publix parking lot saying excuse me repeatedly without stating his reason for calling my attention. I get to my truck and get a hand on my mag light, and finally he tells me he was selling some magazine subscriptions. I wasn't interested, so I told him no thanks bro. He then said well can I practice my speech? I told him no thanks dude, and he walked away.

Normally this wouldn't be strange, or piss me off, however 4 months ago this same kid had knocked on my door at the house, stating the same reason, and that he wanted to practice his speech. It does NOT take 4 months to practice the same speech about his attempts to advance the negro race. After he walked away from my truck, a very smart move on his part, he proceeded to call attention to two other people. The guy he went up to after me wasn't as nice as I was, as he boldly proclaimed "If you're smart, you'll stop right there." That pretty much made my day. It wouldn't have been near as bad had the kid stated his purpose instead of just chasing after people shouting excuse me. Kid obviously hasn't taken the time to rethink his delivery. I was seriously waiting for someone to pull out a gun on the kid.

I work weekends and usually am out 15-20 minutes after my shift, and well, its ran 2 hours over so far...

think about it ... i'm 18 and for the past 2 years i couldn't drive outside of the parish ...
16 year olds NOW can drive all over God's green earth but i couldn't drive outside the parish. i'm allowed to go to new orleans, baton rouge, and within the tri-parish area... THATS IT!!! i can't spend the night at anyone's house putting me on the road at awkward hours of the night because i refuse to let the stupidity get in my way of having fun ... if my friends can do it then i will too ...
