So my parents been fighting a lot recently and maybe getting divorced. I also deal with minor depression. I got called into the office at work and was told that they would have to let me go if I didn't "cheer up". I explained everything and was told i'm preventing it from being a "positive workspace". I'm also in trouble for "starting degrading rumors about management" (more on that below).

I do my job. I do it well. I don't complain and I do what I'm told. I work in the very back of the kitchen where no customers see me. If I don't feel like laughing and joking around with my coworkers who gives a shit?

There's a rumor going around that two managers that live together are lesbians. Someone told them about it and they decided, with no evidence that I started it (which I didn't). What makes me even more mad that I know who started it (not snitching though) but I'm the one who got in trouble. Management didn't even care that I told them it wasn't me (and I figured my word would mean something since I have no track record of lies and have always owned up to mistakes).

And when they were giving out raises, they decided that I didn't deserve a raise because of everything I just said. Such bs. I'm one of the hardest workers there, every single time a manager calls me on an off day and asks me to come in, or asks me to come in early or stay late I always do. I'm very reliable.

I'm just going to come in on my scheduled days (if I'm off I'm off and I'm not coming in since apparently it doesn't mean anything), do my job and leave. And once I turn 18 I'm leaving.

Can't really say That I understand you on the job part because my bosses really like me and don't favor one over the other. I have like 6 In my area of the workplace. But I do know what it's like with the whole parents divorcing dilemma. My mom and dad went their separate ways when I was two. Then I got a stepmom. Well they always acted like they were gonna split up. But they never really did. They started spending more time together in an attempt to recuperate their marriage. And they're fine. Better than ever. The best thing to do is sit down with your mom or dad alone and try to figure it out and see what can be done to fix things with them.

Damn doesn't sound like chick fil a to me! Shit the kitchen is full of Hispanic people who don't speak much English so they're not really ever laughing and joking and they never get threatened like that! Honestly id rather have an employee like you more then them damn homeschool kids who are socially awkward and I'm pretty sure come from cults!

If one is a male, age 16-49, American, is white and christian, employers can basically make your life hell and you have no leg to stand on.
If one is non white, a female, non christian, and a foreigner, they can basically do whatever they want.

Try not to involve yourself in life's drama, concentrate on what you like and and what makes you happy.You can't change it. keep your nose straight and and do your job and try not get involved in workplace bs.Set a new goal in your life to better yourself and bust your a$$ to get there.I'm retired now and went through the crap all my working career and it is just a part of it,I always called work as being incarcerated with a bunch of people I had no desire to be around, but I always found a few people who thought like I did and and tried to hang with them and avoid the rest.As far as your parents go, it's between them and has no bearing on you or about you, there comes a time when you get older in a marriage and you start taking long hard looks at it to see if its worth it,I'm there now but waited to long 45 years and at a point where it's to late to change it, but your parents are older and you take care of yourself and there probably looking for a change. There again don't take anything going on around you personal.Look to brighten your future only.You are the only one that can make yourself happy,remember that. I can understand where you come from as my parents are divorced but you can't let your personal life interfere with your work life so I also understand where your employer is coming from

I absolutely LOVE karma sometimes.

My buddy's wife whom I babysat their 2 kids free for 2 years, has once again had her certified pre owned RAV4...break down on the side of the road!

Trust me, she had it coming!

I have less invested in BOTH of my Escapes than he has in that POS toy!

Why the fuck can't people just drive LEGALLY. Why the hell am I the bad guy for following the rules?!

It's called a legal stop, right of way and speed LIMIT!

I HATE when people do not follow the rules for the right turn on red & think it is a free pass to cut in front of you when you are on the green going through the intersection because they have to turn first.
