Re: The Offical Vent Thread.
Just finished cleaning up around the cabin, apparently others don't think to walk around to make sure everything is cleaned up before they leave or make sure others will have some firewood. The first thing I had to do was cut wood to restock the wood pile, I cut all of the wood for last five years, I stay up there weeks and burn less wood than my relatives when stay for 2 days. When I get up there after they've been up there I find the snow sled left out, soda cans thrown on the ground, and to top it off cut and restock firewood. I'm so tired of having to deal with the petty bullshit because it take away time that I need to deal with the property maintenance like cleaning up 4 acres of pine needles, leaves, grass, and fire clearance issues that I never get help with. Now I have to deal with the trees that have fell in the drainage below the cabin which is something around 40 trees plus remove any trees thats die from the bark beetle outbreak that we are dealing with here. Yet if i say anything about Noone helping out I get the they don't have time excuse or someone gets pissed and tells me not to say anything.

No offense, but if I paid good money for a shed and it was left unfinished and exposed to the elements for a week...I would demand a new one too.
Sorry you got the short stick. We've all been there. Just take a breath and look forward.

Depends, most houses are left open to the elements while being built. Unless there is visible damage then i think the clients request is unfounded

Tell that to my dog. Little bit of water on the inside over the winter ruined his doghouse. Luckily I got it replaced under warranty

Yea the list of crap they do to me was just too much so I quit anyway. I have a backup job which I'm working til I find a new job i mad alright money for my age and experience but it wasn't worth it after all the expenses and insurances and stuff I had to have. And I didn't like sacrificing my happiness for money!

Yea it had a treated floor and I had what wasn't on the bundling stood up so it wasn't sitting in puddles. Our boss is a woman with zero knowledge of how construction works and zero experience working in the elements!

Re: The Offical Vent Thread.
I went to work yesterday and left the rear windows on my extended cab open (It was nice out and I work in a very low crime area). I parked beside a buddy so I was a little bit away from everyone. My chick fil a is inside a mall parking lot.
So while I was loading up a car with a delivery order, a co worker stops me and says "Hey, check out that mall cop snooping around that truck!", I look and the mall cop is walking around MY truck. To make it worse, he starts sticking his hands inside the open windows and reaching for stuff! I see him walk away, then start walking near the dumpsters, then he goes back to my truck and looks around. I started to walk his way and he quickly left. I shut all my windows and made sure the doors were locked.
I don't why wtf he was doing. I don't have anything illegal in my truck, and no reason so suspect it of having anything. I didn't get a good look at him since I was a ways away but I could spot him in a picture. I'm definitely going to give the mall a call today about it.
