I'm bummed because Murphy's Law visited me today. Some may know that my barely one year old laptop became infected Thursday night, and I had to reinstall programs yesterday since a restore and virus removal did not help. My system literally froze and was worthless, but now the laptop runs like brand new. Well today, my AT&T internet wireless router took a dump, so I can't wirelessly use my laptop and my wife can't use the I-PAD. Their online "tech" is virtual, so that was of no help. Why is it true that everytime a computer or vehicle is fixed, something else goes?

I have more of a question than a rant... And since theres mostly guys on here I figured I could get some good, unbiased answers.

Okay, so say you have a good friend, who's a girl, but there's no feelings involved. Been good friends for years. Then you get a girlfriend who says they don't want you hanging out or "associating" with the friend who is a girl anymore. Would you drop the friend for the girlfriend? Or would you tell the gf to get over if and you'll be friends with whoever you want to be friends with?

Long story short, a kid I've been good friends with and worked with since I was 15 texted me the other day and said he can't associate with me anymore because his girlfriend thinks there's something going on.
I'm honestly pissed and a little hurt.
I haven't tried talking to him because obviously if hes willing to drop me as a friend he's bot worth it, but WTF? What would you do?

I definitely wouldn't drop a friend, and it shouldn't matter if it is a girl or a boy if nothing romantic is going on. I definitely wouldn't want someone telling me what to do -- esp. someone new. I, too, would be hurt. Ironically this situation happened to someone else recently on here, and I gave the same advice. Better to find this out now than later when the stakes are higher.

I don't see there being a problem really. The girlfriend must be really jealous or something because if there is nothing romantic, its just like hanging out with one of the guys between you two, it shouldn't matter one damn bit!

That is the whole issue. It shouldn't matter but evidently it does to the girlfriend. I agree that most likely insecure or jealous on her part that she feels "threatened".

The only thing I can think of is that he had feelings for me all along and I never knew... And maybe he talks about me to her or something. Now that I think back I think he probably did have feelings for me. He used to give me a hard time and joke with me about trading my 250 in for a Ranger. And he also always talked about how goofy and annoying my dog is (blue heeler mix)
About a month ago he traded his super duty in for a 02 Ranger exactly like mine and last week he got a blue heeler mix puppy.

Haha! Hind sight is 20/20 I guess.

so pissed at my dad....long story short my work started letting us keep the vans at home so i brought mine home and asked my mom to take me out so i can pick my truck up...she comes over and parks in my dads driveway and my dad just straight LOSES it...storms out of the house screaming at the top of his lungs get out of my driveway...and punches my moms van door and leaves a dent in it...so me fearing for her safety i throw all my weight into my dad and then grab his arms and push him back inside....then he wants to get physical with me because i try to stick up for my mom...all this because she parked in his driveway....i told him if he wouldve asked my mom nicely all this wouldnt have happened but my dad doesnt listen...he thinks hes all big and bad when hes really not...i said i may only be 21 years old but im not afraid to kick his ass
