In fact, we found out we were having a girl. Then, in Sept. at a regular appt. w/o me she found out that she miscarried. Terrible thing to have happen to anyone.

^^ My condolences, My friend is 21 weeks preggo right now, and we are hoping and praying she gets to 32 weeks...I know its still not a full term but they have a high % of survival...

Thanks. It caught the doctor and us off guard since the first pregnancy was normal. The woman's body has a way of rejecting a fetus (which is what a miscarriage is) when it senses trouble, but to go over 5 months and then die for no apparent reason was devestating. We never did get an accurate explanation of why because the baby was decomposed in the womb, but the doctor said that miscarriage is more common than one would think. The good news is we had a very healthy 1 1/2 year old at the time, and he provided a distraction. The doctor also said that we are not considered high risk, so possibly in the future we can become parents again.
