Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
Just wrapped up my 308 build. Just need to get the gas block adjusted correctly and then zero the scope.

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
I want an AR10 so bad lol. But damn the upper and lower receiver to build one cost almost as much to build a complete AR15..

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
It sure wasnt cheap. I stopped counting a while back. I'm guessing in the neighborhood of $1800 for this one. However my AR15 ran me over a grand to build as well. If you ever get the itch, Ground Zero Precision has the best selection in AR10 receivers for the best prices. And they actually have stuff in stock...

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
I'm heading out to order a couple of guns in. Not sure of the variants yet, but I'm getting a Browning 1911-22 with an alloy frame and fiber optic sights for me and I'm trading in my son's first rifle ( basic Savage Rascal ) for full value against a new Henry Lever 22.

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
I've decided to 'boycott' the Oscars... There's a club-level PPC shoot his Sunday evening that would be a much better use of my time. Loaded up some medium-strength 38s to take with me. I love the nickel-plated cases with the copper-plated bullets, and the stainless revolver of course.

I'll keep them in mind. Most of my builds have been no frills, just basic components and nothing fancy needed. Next build is going to be around $490 when completed. Snagged a Spikes Tactical Spartan lower yesterday for $60 with an incomplete parts kit, which has been thrown into the parts box. It's the one with the Shield, Sword, and Sword with Blood for the Safe/Fire/Fun switch. I'm thinking of a .300 BLK upper for it. Someone had tried to install the bolt catch/release and appears they didn't know how to do it as the plunger and spring are gone from the parts kit and the lower is marred.. Other than that issue I can't wait to get this one built to a rifle!

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
I am thinking I might make one more AR15 later this year as a SBR . Something nice and compact. Don't care for AR pistols. I want to be able to shoulder the thing. But there are some other things that are gonna come first.

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
I kicked around the idea of building a 10.5" pistol, and if I do it'll be a .300 BLK as that is really where it shines, but when you take into account how finicky the pistols are cause of the shortened barrel/shortened dwell time its too much work for little gain other than better concealability.
I want to build an SBR as well, but I may hold off until I see how the "Repeal the NFA" petition goes before I do, I surely don't want a 14.5" barreled upper with a pinned and welded flash hider that makes it 16" total..

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
Went out to a new gunshop for me looking for ammo, came back with another gun. The place just so happen to have an FNX9, FNX40, FNX45 and FNX45T all in the display case. Handled all 4 and brought the FNX9 home. It was hard to not take home the 45, however the combination of its much taller grip and longer barrel just would not work for me for concealed carry which is the ultimate purpose for this gun. Have not shot it yet. Dark out and raining by the time I got home.

I had one in .40 for a long time. Went to .45 right before they came out with the FNX-45. I had mine OD green duracoated and sold it to a buddy

How could I forget. Its machined into the slide nice and big. Beautifully built gun that shoots great. Very pleased with my purchase. Ran 250 rounds through it. Have some bulk 9mm on order.
It was hard to turn down the 45 but I can already tell the 9 is going to serve me well.

Enough clean, shiny guns. How about a dirty one:

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
All things considered, most agree 9mm is a better carry gun. Took me a long time to accept it.
Nice purchase, btw.
