I just got my CCP, I think I'm gonna get a smith & Wesson m&p shield .40. Not set in stone tho, I'm gonna go to the sportsmans show here in Harrisburg Sunday and take a real good look at what's out there.

I like the .40S&W round, but I stepped away from it because of how it kicks. Just too snappy.

just got mine as well! I looked at the m&p shield but decided it was a bit too big for me to conceal carry. Ended up getting the ruger lc9s. I've put about 500 rounds through it so far and it's dream to shoot. Easy to break down and clean, as accurate as you would need it to be, small enough to conceal easily while being big enough to grip, and has a pretty good trigger as well. Much improved over the lc9. Bout the same price as the m&p as well, I think maybe $50 cheaper and 9mm is cheaper ammo.
Here's a pic to stay on topic. I'm not a huge fan of external safety's but this on is easy to turn off and on the harder side to turn on. So there's little chance of accidentally putting it on safe when drawing. Overall I'm very pleased with it.

Yeah, I forget who makes it for Walther. Colt 1911 A1 Gold Cup is just the model name. I got it because it's a 1911 in 22LR.
The idea between that and the others is firearm familiarization for the 11 year old. All I need is a lever action in 22LR and a pump either in .410 or 22LR and she'll know how to work everything in my inventory when she is big enough to handle larger calibers.
EDIT: I just got factory grips for the Ruger because there is no way she will be able to wrap her hands around that Hogue grip. Hell, the grip is a little big for me!

I'm going to be getting one like this. Not sure of the exact variant yet. They have several different versions now.
But, it'll be one with an alloy frame and the fiber optic sights.

He says he got the lc9s, same as the pro only it includes the safety. Both have the fancier trigger. My fiance carries a lc9s pro. I like it a decent bit. Just drives me nuts it only came with one mag and everything ruger sells part wise is so expensive

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
So I got tired of looking at the shitty finish on my 30-30.
Stripped the finish, used an iron to get any deep oils left and to get some dents out of the wood, and sanded with 60, 150, and 220, raising the grain between each grit.
3 coats of dark walnut stain.
Smoothed out with 0000 steel wool and applied the first coat of Tru Oil.
Used more steel wool and put on a second coat of Tru Oil.
Just hit it with steel wool again and put on a 3rd coat of Tru Oil. The grain is almost filled now. Will update as I finish
