Yea I bought a few boxes here and there and split the cost of a spam can with a buddy of mine but didn't really build up a supply like you haha although I might start now

My new .17 HMR Ruger American. I'll have to get a pic of the target in a min. And my Para Recon .45ACP
.
( the .17 ) It was awesome, until the cheaper Winchester ammo I brought jammed my one and only mag. A bullet wasn't seated right, just barely, and it jammed itself ˘ockeyed. I didn't have an allen wrench and didn't want to bother anyway.

Just loaded up some 45 mags and dumped them. I let a guy learning and trying out different guns shoot a mag. He loved it

The one with all the shots was the first time I ever got to shoot her. Then the mag jammed. That was at 50'.

The single shot I thought I had the mag working. Put the target out 75' and take one shot. Mag failure again.

Check to see if the Range has a Magnum Ruger Rotary mag. Negative.

Damn.

Bad mag or poor ammo?

It was definitely the ammo. Once I got it out you can clearly see it's not seated worth a shit. Out of the 20-25 I looked at, about 5 weren't seated 100%. Only the one was that bad though, the rest functioned.

It was just the cheap Winchester crap I got for target shooting. I had more of it than the better stuff.

Gotcha. Good that it was ammo related.
Is the second picture 50' or 75'? Grouping looks poor, unless you're using irons.

No optics yet. It was literally the first time I got to shoot her.

The single shot was 75' standing. The group I wasn't really trying too hard. Just tried to get a whole mag through real quick.

It has a fiber front and a normal 10/22 notch rear.

The 10/22 take down I have coming has fiber front and rear. It's a pretty sweet setup for irons. Screw just the gold bead. That was my first gun even and I can't stand just a bead

Well went to the cabellas in the town I was in after work today and found 17 hmr and lots of it they had the shelves loaded with a couple hundred boxes! Picked up two of those two boxes of non corrosive 7.62x54r a box of 45 colts and a 10 round mag for the 17 ( also have one more in the way at a local shop). So all in all a pretty good little trip

.410 is a good small game round. .22 is better if you can pull off a head shot so as to avoid possibly ruining meat but I wouldn't look down on someone using a .410.
