More than the piece of paper you're used to shooting at. Ask a cop or soldier who have actually been fired upon and returned fire, how many shots it takes. No wise ass "one good placed one". In the real world...things are totally different than the range.

Go on YouTube. Watch dash can shoot outs, security camera footage, even real world simulations. A closed mind in an ignorant mind

Your opinion would change

Different folks, different strokes. That's fine, I'll cover your exit.

Have you ever been shot at?

Have you ever experienced an adrenaline filled life or death situation and had to make a split second decision that could potentially end someone's life? Guess what? I have.

Have you even had any formal training in the effective deployment of a handgun? Any hand to hand skills to back that up? A gun shouldn't be your only tool. If all you have is a hammer, everything starts looking like a nail.....

I was a shooting instructor back in the day. I know what I'm doing. I don't care what people on the internet think. They don't really know me or my past. Just a bunch of assumptions, usually by some douche on an ego trip.

You act like they're aren't people like that in the world. Cops used to be that way, before they had their balls cut by policy. Soldiers do it daily

Your gun is to save innocent people, but you allow an active shooter to continue?

Oh because the cops will come and deal with it right? How many lives will be lost before the first responder even shows up?

But most importantly...how many lives will be lost before, a perimeter is set up, innocents evacuated, backup/SWAT to arrive, and then formulate a plan for entry?

Too many

My gun is not to save innocent people. That's the superhero mentality that gets people killed.

My gun is to protect myself and my loved ones. Other people have the same options as me for their own personal safety. Their safety is their responsibilty, not mine. If they fail to take it seriously, that's on them.

And trust me, I'm the last one to expect expect a cop to do anything. Lol.

Yes because helpless children should be left to fend for themselves

Some people were raised to protect others and innocents at all costs, because triumph over evil could require sacrifice or putting ones self in danger.

If you feel you need to run, that's fine. I'm not saying anything negative about you. So why talk shit to someone who would put their life on the line for an innocent?

Whatever helps you feel better

Helpless children should have parents willing to protect them. As cold as it may sound to some people, they aren't my responsibility.

And lol at you. If you're concerned about good vs evil, why aren't you fighting to end the corruption and abuse in our government? I am. I'm one of the few boots on the ground guys willing to get arrested in order to fight an unconstitutional law or a government entity thats abusing their power. You wanna talk about a sacrifice....

And where did I say I was going to run? I said I would get myself and as many people as I could to safety. Something likely to save way more lives than you trying to stage an assault on an armed individual when all you have is a handgun.....

There's a difference between running away and knowing how you can really help....

I'll keep that in mind when I send my kid to school

There's also a difference in knowing to can "get to safety" aka RUN, with a few people not near the shooter anyway. (Why you said you're not engaging, and "going to safety")...as opposed to trying to stop the needless death in front of you.

I like how the cops and media tell you to just get out...and you follow the herd. Yet...you're a fighter. As you say

Maybe you'll understand this briefing on active shooters.

Anyway...gun pictures would be great, so...
