Look the chamber over REAL close. Those savages are notorious for having a rough chamber, causing fired shells to stick. My buddy had that problem on his .338. Had to run a cleaning rod down the barrel to knock out the empties. Lol.

Thanks for the tip. It's an aftermarket barrel so I shouldn't have an issue.

Cool, might I ask why you didn't get an M&P15-22?

$200 price diference
This was $255 out the door. S&W was 437 before tax
They are really nice guns. I shot one before I'd say 9/10 where this one is 4/10 but fun gun to screw around with.

Yeah the 715T is alright, I've only had a few minor issues (like no feed ramp causing the nose of my bullets to get nicked when fed.)
Based on the 702 plinkster so I'm surprised I had any problems at all.

Gonna be in the market for an AR soon, what are some solid brands to look at for under say $800? It's gonna be my graduation present while my dad can still buy one without drama. Would I be better to buy the lower and the stock and upper and all parts seperately? Give me some basic info I'll need and possibly some things to stay away from.

If it was me I'd build one. There's nothing like building a gun to your personal preferences..
But I have no advice because I haven't owned an AR....yet. lol
Ask Mike (Spidey2011). He has 5 or 6.

A sig AR for under $800? Youre dreaming. I can think of two solid AR's that are in that price range. The DPMS Oracle, and the S&W M&P Sport. By far, the S&W is the better choice. I have thousands of rounds through mine, with only one failure, and it was definitely ammo related.
The best option though, is to build one. Its cheaper, and you get the gun that YOU want right off the bat, rather than having to add and remove parts to make it what you want.

I didn't say under $800
I can't find the standard model on the website but here's one with a scope for $950
http://mobile.walmart.com/m/phoenix;...Scope/21677320
My local store has M400's with iron sights for under $900 if I remember correctly.
