Yeah...I know that's an option. That's actually exactly what I was looking up just after I made those posts but kept coming up with dipped frames and some gay ass zombie grips. I've seen smooth grips with the thumb notch on the left side...I'd think those would be best to dip. However, I don't know how well hydrodipping would work on say like a heavily textured stock-type grip.
Researching I must do. I MUST have Mossy Oak grips for my blued 1911!

And since this is a "post your gun pics" thread.... two of mine. The Springfield 1911 and Ruger 10/22 USA Shooting Team Edition. The Glock and 17hmr are my buddies. ANCIENT picture though. lol.

Built my 10-22 up a little more today. Before today it already had a 3-9 x 40 scope and Clark Customs 3 lb trigger/sear kit. Just added an ER Shaw bull barrel, ghillie tan hogue over molded stock, Volquartsen extended mag release, and Caldwell XLA bipod.

On sale at Midway USA for $15. It's one of those must do mods. What muzzle break is that?

Blackhawk makes one where the stock slides and takes some of the recoil. I've heard good things
