They make Glocks in .45, ya know. In fact, at 15 yards, there is literally no difference between my grouping with my G21 and my 1911. Granted I can make 100 yard hits on silhouettes with my 1911 all day long, but I've never bothered to try that with the Glock (still have the stock sights on the G21, but my 1911 has Novak 3-dot nights).
Both guns are more than capable of combat accuracy. Glocks are very simple, very safe, and very reliable. Glocks also have a higher ammunition capacity (unless you live in NY ).
Oh, and by the way, my every day carry is a 1911.

I dont have anything against "rubbermaid" guns at all, in fact I carry one almost daily when Im not carrying my 1911. Its just that Glock was my first plastic gun I experienced and I hated it, thats why I disregarded rubbermaid guns for years. Ive since changed my stance on plastic guns. (except for Glock, still gate them) And yes, I am a 1911 snob too I guess, there is no denying that the over 100 year old design is one of the most time tested and battle proven pistol designs of all time, I think every serious shooter should have a John Moses Browning designed weapon in their arsenal. I cant have an M2 so I have to settle for a 1911! lol
Btw the accuracy and caliber reference was to the M9, not the Glocks. I know the Glocks come in several calibers, they even have their own (.45 GAP)

Yep. I agree 100%. My 1911 is by far my favorite handgun.

Heavy? yes an all stainless one sure. my 1911 Champion weights just less then my XDsc because the lower frame is alum. Its my every day carry.. and Slow gun? are in insane or just never owned a decent UN-modified 1911... my springers are not slow guns at all.

1000000% agree...

.45 gap god forsaken round thats a whole thread in itself.
First plastic gun I ever shot was also a glock. which I couldnt stand at all. almost turned me into a revolver guy because I hated them so much. Till I found XD line then I finally liked plastic again...
Then I bought a 1911... its all down hill now. I could careless about plastic guns imo...

You were right, just had to drop in and let you know... Just started having issues with the 715T today... FTF, bullet damage to the nose of every round chambered before that, charging handle locked open now...
Maybe I should go back and pick up that used 15-22.

A clip is used to reload an internal magazine on some rifles. An external magazine typically doesn't need a clip but there are exceptions to every rule...

I've never had an opportunity to shoot a Glock or an M9, so I have not point of reference on them. I'm perfectly happy with my my Taurus PT145 and Kimber Ultra Carry II. The Taurus did need some new sights to hit where you aim but once that was worked out with a set of adjustable sights, it has been a great pistol. The Kimber was dead on and flawless right out of the case. Then again, with the money one pays for a Kimber, it damn well better be!!!

They're great guns. Plus you can mod them the exact same way as any other AR. Hope you get your problems fixed though.

Nope, but you can carry a .50!
http://www.magnumresearch.com/Firear...0-AE-Black.asp
Actually, each round has it's pluses and minuses depending on what you are looking for and how you are going to carry and use it.
.380 - .45ACP all have their place as a defense round, I just prefer slow, heavy bullets but I won't put anyone down or look down any anyone carrying a .380 or 9mm. Like Colin said, whether you're killed by a Tahoe or a Suburban, you're still dead. The Suburban won't make you more dead.
