I guess I should have thought about that. I assumed he had know when his pistol would be double/single action.

Sounds like the sear isn't engaging the hammer. Can you rack the slide and have the hammer stay back?

OK see link to attached post on another forum

It sounds like the recoil spring is either to strong and not allowing the slide to go all the way back thus not c0cking the hammer, or the rounds are not stong enough to do the same thing, or both.

It may be the recoil spring that is to strong, however check one more thing. Rack the slide and c0ck the hammer back. Then press forward on the hammer to see if it will release and move forward. (It shouldn't)

Ok. That link didn't work btw. But you guys are just saying that its either the spring or the ammo or potentially both

Link won't work because c0ck is blocked out of the address by FRF editor. Haha.
Yes. Also do the test that I said above.

If it chambers another round, then it can't be that the recoil spring or ammo is too weak.

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
I tried your test and I can't push it forward like you said. And yes, it does chamber another round.
This may be a dumb question, but there isn't a difference between " 9mm parabellum " and 9mm luger " right?

Well if it chambers another round that means that it can't be that the recoil spring is too sting, or the ammo too weak. Could be that it is too weak in not allowing the slide to be pushed all the way back forward after the shot.

A gun can chamber a round but still not lock the hammer back. This is caused by the spring not allowing the slide to come all the way back or the ammo not having the pressure to push the slide back far enough.
