I want it more for eye relief. So I don't have to tilt head as much. It's really odd the front site should block the scope but you only see a small "smudge" in the scope you can't make out. It doesn't really inhibit anything.
I do plan on removing the iron site. Just not now. It's on the list lol.

Also I had a problem at the gun store today. Found a very lightly used Mossberg 500 12g. It has a ported barrel 22" and rail. I have a Nikon scope coming for it.

Just get a new upper. Easier to find than a lower! Lol

my grandma just asked me to take all my grandpa's guns home tomorrow when i come visit her. so ill post pics of them all tomorrow. i dont remember what all he has but there is a .357, a couple .22's 30-06, .22mag derringer, 12ga. i know im forgetting about half of them but ill post pics tomorrow night when i get home.
oh and grandpa went to gunsmiths school so they are all reworked and are the smoothest, straightest shooting guns ive ever shot.

Id suggest a one-piece scope mount designed for Ar's. Thats what I use on all of mine, and they raise it up enough to clear the front sight. Only time I see it is when Im below 3x zoom.

Either way, looks good. Always nice to see some hard work pay off.

Yes it is tan, the flash on the camera made it look white in the pics.
