Yeah I'm not sure yet if I'll buy a true mosin stock, or one of those synthetic stocks. The hardest part is going to be finding ammo in my area!

I wish I had a Cabela's close to me! Closest one is like 70 miles away I think. Some gun shops here should have some in stock

Yeah, that ammo isn't hard to find around here. even the 7.62x39 isn't that hard to find. Now 223/.22LR/9mm is another story

It's wedged like that because they have a piece that's slides up and down the side and if they are flat together it will prevent them from sliding.

I think safe was the wrong word. Hmm totally not needed? Is he worried about a quick mag change for the invasions of squirrels. Idk

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
I put a 3-9x40 scope on last night just to try it out. Its the one that originally came on my .243, I had to put a 1" riser mount on because of the 3/4" cheek riser on the stock. I'll probably end up going back to the red dot because I already have 2 scoped rifles.

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
I have scopes on all my AR's, but they're all hunting guns. If it's just a range toy and you're not gonna shoot it more than 100 yards out, I wouldn't use one.

With the cost of ammo I would advise only shooting 100+ yards. Tends to make people shoot slower.
Kinda sucks blowing $20-$30 in ammo in less than a minute. Lol

Yeah I won't be shooting much at all anymore. I'll probably go back to the red dot because I do consider it more of a defensive weapon anyways.

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
Upgraded my AR15. Added a Quad rail, magpul angle grip, bipod, and scope. Let me know what you think. Still need 1" riser on the scope to clear the front iron a little more.
Before.
After.
Also I had a problem at the gun store today. Found a very lightly used Mossberg 500 12g. It has a ported barrel 22" and rail. I have a Nikon scope coming for it.

Forget the riser...loose that front sight.
If you want irons then just get some flip ups. Looks much better and more versatile.
