Looking at buying a .22 plinking gun besides marlin 60's or ruger 10/22 what would be a good buy i was looking at chiappa's they look like an m1 carbine and are pretty neat

a friend bought one. neat gun, but it had issues in the receiver... i'm sure it was a fine gun before some dipshit fired hundreds of cheap dirty rounds through it without cleaning it lol

My friends friend had one of those for sale and I was going to jump on it but I didn't really know anything about them and he sold it before I could do any research

I wanted to either do a HAMR style scope (with the red dot mounted on top) or an offset mount sight set up like you have

Also, is that the original barrel?

I like having a scope with a red dot on top. Look at the S&W in the middle. Burris makes a nice mount for that. I think it's called the P.E.P.R. I run it with a 2-7x scope and a Burris FastFire II. Really a good setup, IMO.

I love the offset sights, and yeah that's the original barrel but I changed the flash hider out
