It's not stupid if guns are a hobby or you like a variety for hunting. If your only need is protection, then fine. But that isn't the only reason people have guns.

I agree. I conceal carry my .40. Carry my .357 as a side arm while hunting. Use my 20g or my .22Mag/20g for squirell and rabbits. Use my 12g for pheasant, turkeys and crows. My .243 for deer and coyote. Also use my infamous bushmaster for coyotes. And my .444 Marlin will take down any animal in north america.

Here in the United Communist Counties of Maryland, I'm kind of screwed for handguns. I can get one, but I can't carry it. The UCCM only issues carry permits to doctors, diamond brokers, bank managers, and people who have been victim of two or more attempted murders. I'm hoping the federal lawsuit will kill that, but recent events are not helping.

Got my mossy 500 for 280$ at Big 5, for security nothin' beats 5 3 inch nitro magnum slugs

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
They're a great gun. I bought mine after my fiance left me and I named it after her... so I can technically say that I'm going to go shoot " Diana "
They're probably the best bang for your buck as far as revolvers go. They're not as expensive as some of the Smith's and not as cheap as some of the Taurus (both of which are great guns as well) I have mine over a year now. I got mine at Cabela's for $619.99 but I recently looked at them again and they are now $699.99 at Cabela's. Amazing how the price can jump like that.
I think my next revolver would be the Super RedHawk .44

So since hunting doesn't excite you, then it shouldn't excite anyone else and is stupid? And anyone else that wants to collect guns as a hobby is stupid? Anyone who needs a variety of guns for hunting a variety of game is stupid?
What other hobbies do you have so I can summarily insult you and call you stupid? I like airplanes. I presume you're not a pilot though, so I guess I'm also stupid.

lol love the name bit my buddie with the vaquero is a big ruger fan, between him & his dad they have quite a few. he's got a super redhawk .44 he took hunting a couple years back, and it felt as solid & looked like a real quality peice. just bigger than what i want right now, lol.
i've gotten to shoot my other buddie's taurus raging bull .357 as well, which i liked alot, but i've heard there's some quality issues with the newer models (his is from 1991). he also just picked up a taurus .45 colt ACP, again looks & feels like a quality peice but so far it'll only shoot the reloads my buddie with the rugers makes, 3 different store bought boxes of ammo, and a new clip, and it would stovepipe like crazy. not a single issue with the ugly reloads though, lol.

Hmm.. thats odd. My SR40 only stove piped once. I shoot 180gr out of it. Maybe the reloads your friends make are hotter than the store bought ones?

that's the only explanation we've come up with. on the plus side, kinda neat having a gun that'll only shoot dirt cheap ammo. but it sucks knowing there's a good chance of having issues with store bought ammo, if you ever need it (or want something fancyier than a simple reload). other than that issue it's a nice gun, sturdy.
