That's a decent price. I paid $405 for mine last year, and $389 when I bought my Dad one for Father's Day. We don't have tax in MT.

I carried it with me today, I will be buying one for myself now. My .45 is great to carry most of the time but this one is great, fits right in my pocket.

Yup. That's why I bought mine. For those times that I can't carry (or don't feel like carrying. lol) my .45. If I'm just making a quick trip to town, I'll just throw the .380 in my pocket.

Never been to a Bass Pro Shop. From what I've seen online, it looks like it is geared more to fishermen (hence the name) than overall sportsmen like Cabela's. Nothing wrong with that. I'm not much of a fisherman. It's more of an excuse for me to get away for a bit and drink some beer more than catching fish, since I stink at fishing.
I would agree that Cabela's is more of a tourist destination though with all the stuffed trophy animals and the restaurant. I'll have to set some time aside some time and make a Bass Pro run just for the hell of it.
Concerning pricing, Cabela's does have some good deals but you have to shop around before hand, just like anything else. I haven't paid that much attention to Bass Pro's pricing since it's a heave to get to one for me.

All I have in pistols is .45s. Nothing wrong with a smaller caliber but since they are home defense or personal defense weapons, I want to make sure the first shot knocks them down. You can do that with smaller rounds if shot placement is good but I'm not counting on good shot placement in the heat of a self defense situation. With the adrenalin pumping, I'm figuring that even with me being a good shot, proper trigger control and breathing is going to be out the window. So, for me, it's "go big or go home". Others may feel differently.

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
Hopefully it doesn't shoot low and left like the Sigma's.
Damn front sight.

My walther is being a finicky bitch. Stupid arc'd claw extractor they put on them doesn't like to pull them in straight, then they just get stuck everytime it tries to eject shells. About to file it out straight myself

Hardly any negative feedback on the M&P's. Elevation can be dialed in with grain and bullet style, and the rear sights have windage adjustment. Can't wait to get to the range this weekend!

Haha. Thats not the sight. Thats the long ass trigger pull. I shot low and left when I first got mine, but once I got it figured out, I can shoot a 1" group in the center all day long.
