Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
Don't have pictures but shot a bunch of guns at an expo this past weekend. My favorite had to have been the FNAmerica M249. It's so damn accurate! And I wasn't impressed with the feel of POFs ar-15s. Also tried out a few HK handguns that were pretty nice. Remington has a new "sport" version of the Versamax which IMO is better than the Versamax. Only difference is the sport has all of its weight centered and won't accept 3.5" slugs. Benelli had some cool shotguns but they didn't really compare to the Remington in feel.

I gotta say that review wasn't good at all. He seemed mad at it before he even started because be had an original with problems. He wanted it to fail it seemed.
I haven't run JHP's yet, hard to find the Critical Duty in +P. My FMJ's have functioned perfectly.
He was having problems with hollow points. But, he never tried different ones. Just said they've worked great before. A lot of people know some guns don't like certain HP's.
Then the break down. He made it seem WAY harder than it really is. The first thing I did was strip and clean mine. He wasn't even reassembling it properly.
Then the slide stop pin spring. I think all I need to say there is yes, it is a bit meticulous to get it in right. Easy after a few times. And...who the fuck would ever reassemble a gun and not function check it? You'd still have to rack the slide to load it.
S.O.P. for any gun is to function check it. It says so in the manual.

Not reliable enough to carry. Too many videos out there with it having too many malfunctions right out of the box with all types of ammo. Seems to me though it could be a magazine issue. I know you think it is the greatest thing since sliced bread but that just isn't the case. Maybe the gen 3 will get it right.

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
That's why I posted the video and posed a question instead of a judgment. MAC is a sample of one.
Between the R51 and the triggers on the 700 and some other models, Remington has gotten a bit of a black eye and will have a bit of a hill to climb as a result. Everyone company has issues from time to time and it appears that Remington is taking it as an opportunity instead of a completely negative thing. I hope they work through it.
Anyway, I was interested in what your experience was since again, MAC is just a sample of one.

Seems to me even remingtons ammo quality has gone downhill. I bought a box of core lockt for my. 308 last year, and the tips were all deformed. I ended up dressing them by hand to get them halfway uniform and usable

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
The only Remington ammo I've shot has been .308 Match ammo and that has been pretty darn good. That being said, it seems the supply on the store shelves seems to have dried up for whatever reason.
That's ok. I like Federal ammo, so picked up some with Sierra match bullets. I'll need to tweak the zero on the rifles but it will work. My carry pistols have HST rounds in them since they seem to perform best with short barreled .45s.

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
it seems I always use federal ammo at the end of the day, it's always been consistant, reliable and affordable for me. I bought the Remington ammo because it was on sale and had a rebate, so it came out to like $3 for the box. after seeing how nasty the tips looked, i'm not sure i'd pay even $3 again.

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
I shoot relatively cheap PMC ammo, never any issues with it, yeah, it might be a bit dirty, but I get the same results every time. My Remington 700 with .308 from PMC gets 1.5 MOA at 600 yards.
