That's what I'm looking forward to the most. Trigger is way too far away for my fingers to reach it comfortably

How's the grip? My small hands have problems gripping a double stack 1911 properly and still reach all the controls as one should be able to.

Any one have experience with the Walther CCP?
My fiancee has been looking for her first handgun, and she is pretty well settled on the Walther CCP.
Whenever she said she wanted one for herself, I said get whatever you want as long as it's quality and it's big enough to be shootable. We've shot the CCP, and we both can shoot it fairly well. All that's left is ensuring that it's a quality piece.
I'd love to hear if anyone has any personal experience with the CCP.
I usually rotate between my Baby Desert Eagle 9mm and my Glock 42 depending on what the day is going to look like.

Fits me just fine. This is my current EDC.
Double stack Para Black Ops Recon in .45
I haven't taken the Warthog out shooting yet, I wanted to spend some time cleaning, lubricating and cycling it before taking it out. Fingers are crossed for tomorrow.
Fitting around the grip is fine, I'm just curious how I'll handle only having 3 fingers on the grip. The whole purpose of getting it was better concealment in summer attire. The grip is what's a bitch to hide.
I'm going to have a custom holster made to keep it nice and snug

Just practice pulling it out of the holster and having a solid hold on it cause it can get away from you one handed if you are not used to it.
I'm not a huge fan of shooting them a bunch but if it is a CC then it is not a big deal as long as you are comfortable with it.

I'm more comfortable and confident with a 1911 than any other gun I've ever shot. And that's a lot of different guns.
I routinely practice drawing and firing quickly. One of the biggest reasons I shoot these...
Draw, aim, fire. Really helps the aim. Or just aim, fire. Putting it down every shot. I also do quick aiming with snap caps at home, pick a random small object, aim, fire.
You'd be surprised how well it works. That little target ^^ I was getting repeated hits at 132 feet away with my Recon

I have to admit, the smoothest handgun I've shot was a kimber 1911. Out of my price range as a college student but damn it was a slick ass shooter. I regularly do quick draw scenarios. Never used one of those bouncy targets. Just put up a paper target get arms length away with gun holstered, put non shooting hand behind my back as I draw weapon and empty it. Not intending to have super tight groups but it's a great way to practice both pushing someone behind you and quick drawing if someone was to approach from a dark corner or quickly.

Instead of the bouncy targets I use cheap foam balls. In my experience they are as good as and much cheaper.

I'm not too fond of Kimber. I've known a couple of guys and watched guys with problems on YouTube. Others swear by them. I think they charge WAY too much for a MIM gun.
Check these out. On sale and will blow Kimber away. They are amazingly nice. Very smooth, more accurate than you'll ever be and have a lifetime warranty.

Other is a YHM Desert Enforcer with a suppressor, mako foregrip/bipod and ACOG scope w/RMR sight on top.

I don't have any experience with the Walther but she should look at a Glock 19 also. The 19 shoots well, is easy to handle and isn't too big. It is a very consistent and proven 9 mm.

For a 1911, Springfield is the way to go. Kimber is crap. The Springfield is pricey but well worth every penny.
