I thought about just building a 10/22 and decided on it. Then the take downs came out...then this sense of need set in. Lol
I was waiting for a decent stock. Those Tapco are just not my style.
So, this stock, add a charging handle, extended mag release, fore grip and in it's future...a Cerakote or IonBond finish. :-)

It would make a sweet little plinker or small game riffle. Good pack riffle too

That's what I wanted it for. I was looking for something packable, yet range worthy. A Henry AR-7 just isn't a plinking gun imo

Been looking at the takedown as a gun to keep in the truck for survival situations in case I'm ever stranded in the woods.
I trail ride alot. Lol
Also looked at the ar-7 which seems more suitable for that purpose.

Yeah, the AR-7 is the perfect little survival rifle. I'm sure I'll still get one seeing as they're so cheap.
Can't beat the whole thing fitting in a watertight, floating butt!

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
Not a fan of the AR-7 myself but I do like those take down models. I'll have to look at getting one or two...

For rats, maybe.
My first gun, got the rifle when I turned 18, never shot a gun in my life. So started off small.

It is overkill for rats and you called it a rat killer lol
My first gun that I own is a colt .38 but the first thing I ever shot was a 410 shotgun, and then I got to shoot a Taurus judge firing 410.. That's a bit of a kick in the butt if you're not ready for it.

Nice!! I bet is is a kick in the butt the first time!
First time I shot a 7.62 and even the 5.56 I thought I had gone deaf for good, my Winchester earmuffs were the best 9 bucks ever spent
Recoil doesn't bother me much. Lol
I'll be 21 next month, want something powerful yet concealable! Any suggestions?

There's tons of options out there, plenty of glock subcompacts in all the calibers and lots of others. You wanna find a gun that you shoot very very well if you want to carry concealed with it. Get one you're comfortable with and shoot the hell out of it until you can shoot the wings off a fly with it.
