Tungsten would be in an AP round. I doubt he was shooting those. If even made in 22

I was referring to the various materials that bullets can be made from, certain military rounds use steel rather than lead I never said it was very likely that's what hit his hand. Lol my main point is that there was no way it was a piece of brass.

If it were brass, I'd be really worried

This times a thousand. I was on a tactical shooting team for about 6 months. One guy showed up with an AR that had every Magpul accessory on it, and had every 5.11 piece of clothing they offer. Dude couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. My $600 home built AR I was using along with my cheap $300 Ruger P95 9mm were sooooooo much more effective than his $3,500 AR and $1,200 Kimber.

I like IR and optics but its hard to beat lightweight and open sights for cqb.

Well, since then, my disposable income has increased dramatically, and I'm now that douche with the AR that's tricked out with the magpul stuff, the eotech, etc. I now have the Springfield 1911, the glock, etc.

Difference is, I can actually hit what I'm aiming at, and have nice and tight grouping.

Still don't have the 5.11 stuff though. Besides 2 belts. I don't think their clothes are comfortable. I've been pleasantly surprised with the rothco pants though. When I'm not working and jeans aren't fashionable attire, rothco khaki bdu trousers are my pants of choice.

Yea most of "meal team six" have never even looked down a set of iron sights before. That's the problem with a lot of shooters these days they do optics, semi auto, and high capacity magazines. It's kind of sad seeing people teach their kids to shoot with optics and never using irons sights!

Either way it seems like a one in a million kind of thing, I just can't see a piece of shrapnel flying 6 feet to the side unless there was some type of malfunction. But your hand seems to say otherwise lol
