Idk it used to not fire every once in a blue moon but the other day I went duck hunting and I can't tell you how many times it didn't fire and I lost shells in the marsh!
You aren't oiling your firing pin are you? A lot of gun oils gum up and cause fail to fire or light strike issues if you do. If you feel you need to lube your firing pin, use a dry lube or CLP.

Ehhhhh I lubed all around it and I lubed the pin itself and got it moving easier then I left it standin up over a napkin overnight and let the excess drain out. After that deep cleaning problem is solved I fired three 2 3/4 lead rounds pretty fast and worked great and then I fired three of the 3" steel shot that I was having issues with when hunting and they worked perfectly fine.

It's your firearm but I would suggest getting that oil out of there and either hit it with CLP or a dry lube.

I've ran across problems with gummed up oil causing the firing pin to either light strike or just plain fail to fire. And it didn't take long for the oil to gun up. Maybe a couple of months.

Get you one of these, but you don't use it like a pistol. Keeps it legal.

Man me and a buddy went to a gun show and he bought some hornady 22 mag ammo and we went shooting after. He has a cimmaron 22 plinkerton single action revolver. We were shooting next to eachother and I could feel the gas from his shots hitting me and all of a sudden I felt something hit me! I pulled a piece of brass or whatever the projectile was plated with out of my hand! It was like a but or something. And it was actually pretty deep in there!

The casing is brass, a jacket round is usually coper, if it wasn't jacket then it's just lead, or tungsten steel. (More likely lead)

------

Looks painful though. Gotta be safe when you're shooting, don't stand next to the shooter.
