That or a 50 BMG. Would be nice but I'm not a good enough of a marksman to justify anything more than a .308. That and one needs a nice bank roll to shoot either one of them on a fairly regular basis. Last I looked, 338 was about $4 a shot and 50 about $6.

About $1600. The market is still kinda up as far as prices go. I looked at it and a couple of Armalite models before deciding. All were in the same price range. Looked at an M1A too but they are selling for $1800. I can get one at CMP for $800 less. I can't justify $800 to get a magazine and a muzzle brake.
I've had it out once to sight it in. It shoots nice for factory. It has a nice bark but the kick isn't bad. My .45/70 is rougher. Anyway, it needs a trigger job to clean up the pull but it isn't terrible.

I'm over the .50, if I want something just for destruction...sure. But if going for accuracy/range...there's superior rounds now.
Now for M1A...if it were a $200 difference, I would go for one. I can't wait to get one and start setting it up. I was thinking of the juggernaut bullpup stock...then I saw the price tag. Lol
The M1A has always been considered a much superior platform than the AR15/M16. A lot of Spec Ops guys still use them and love them. Not to mention a lot of people prefer 308 over super fast 22's
I know Vietnam guys that remember the early model M16's...no bueno

Great home defense gun. They work great. What setup was it?
I really wish the ATF didn't shut down the production of the Executioner. That would have been sweet

Believe it was the 2.5" chamber, 3" barrel, stainless. I don't have any stainless and it was really catching my eye, but may pick up my summer carry first.
Executioner was....HOLY SHIT hardcore batshit crazy. lol.

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
Good looking Commander! There's already two 1911's in the stable. lol.
Probably going to be LC9. Wanting something smaller than my SR40c iwb for t-shirt duty. I got so used to sweatshirts this winter, that tees now ride up and get caught. Probably overthinking...wasn't an issue last summer.
What part of WA are you in?

The Ruger is a good gun, I just hear about the trigger. And, that's a pretty standard complaint for any DAO that isn't pre-****ed.
I'm more of a DA/SA. I used to carry my FNX-40 and the trigger was amazing. If I ever got a DAO, it would be getting a trigger job before firing
Then I stumbled upon this Recon...I've never been more in love with a gun. Lol
Offer me an STG-44 and I'll trade though
