The Recon is 4.25". I want a carry 1911 and a home/range one I can throw a silencer on to not wake my boys while taking care of intruders. Lol

I'll probably get the Recon just to make IWB a little easier

Where the hell is Tbarr when you need him anyway? Lol

Just curious because they're 14 round double stacks. Never seen one personally

Or where is Pat. He carries a double stack 1911.

Personally I only own single stacks and only carry a lightweight champion so I have no first hand with the double stacks.

What is yours? I always wanted to carry a 1911 but I'm just not fond of 8 round mags. I like to bring as much bang as I can

It's a Para P12-45, 3.5" barrel, double stack 10+1 capacity. I'll grab a pic real quick.

This is the holster I carry it in.

Wow that's a small 1911. Lol

How's the grip on the double stack? I just don't want a huge grip. But we are talking about 14 - .45 calibers. Lol

Never shot any of the double stacks but they feel great in hand. My buddy Carrys a compact para and I've shot it. It's a good gun. Won't cycle polymer tipped rounds tho so you gotta be careful what rounds you carry in it.

The grip is wide but I prefer it to the narrow grip of the single stacks. I've never had any issues shooting polymer tipped, hollow point or ball rounds from my Para. I know some of the compacts have issues do to the ramp angle but mine has taken everything I've fed it.
