Thats what I started out hunting with when I was 12, when I turned 16 I bumped up to a .308. Back in '08 I bought a .243 for my ex to use hunting , fast forward to '09, I sold the .308 when I moved to Oklahoma. Came back to PA and all I had to use for deer was her .243 so Ive been using that ever since. Taken down a few deer with a .243 no problem.

ATTN: Springfield XDs Owners!!! I just heard about this recall http://www.springfieldrecall.com/
Apparently there's something that can cause the gun to go off when chambering a round and also something to cause it to go off twice when the trigger is pulled once. You register the recall on their site, send it in, and they fix it and send it back to you. Follow the link to find out if your serial number is affected and to start the process.
Really starting to be disappointed in my XDs. First the problem of the slide getting bumped and stuck back and then not firing (this happens in ALL XDs' and Springfield refuses to acknowledge a problem) and now this.

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
So I'm thinking about buying my wife and I a .22 caliber rifle. I've been looking at the Ruger 10/22 and I'm liking what I'm seeing. Anyone own one of these or have owned one? Any opinions?

Nobody owns those. They are the most uncommon rifle on the market and they suck. J/K
Everybody has a 10/22. They're a great rifle, cheap, lots of upgrades, and eat most any ammo
Get one. And I have a rail for the top of the receiver I'll sell. So you can put optics on it

Awesome haha, I was hoping you were kidding lol. I keep looking at them and as I'm reading the reviews I'm liking it even more. I already have a 16 guage single shot bolt action shotgun that was my grandfathers. It's an awesome gun but I just want something small that my wife and I can go out and have fun with. I'm gonna go by Walmart when I get off work and look at how much they cost

I got a basic one about a year ago for $175 out the door. You'll want to buy extended mags. Not impossible to find at the moment. Just make CERTAIN, if you buy them you buy ONLY Ruger brand ones. I think its the XM-25 mag? It's the only one they make, but it is quality compared to the others and they're able to be opened and cleaned

Re: Your Gun Pics, Post Em Up!
$175? Damn, that's not bad at all. I'll have to go look when I get off work. Hell I might just buy one as soon as I get off work if the price is right. I've still got tons of .22 ammo loft over at the house. And I'm loving how much you can customize it if you wanted to. I think I might have found a new addiction lol

The ones I've seen since all the bullshit went down are closer to $250-$300 buy definitely worth it. Probably the best all around useful for anything gun you can buy

Heck, that's still not a bad deal. My wife really want's something she can be comfortable with rather than my 16 gauge knocking the hell out of her lol I think this will be perfect. Heck, I might get us both one
