Default emergency!

hey guys some of my friends out here in mendocino got stuck in a snow storm last sunday in the mountains, they ended up staying in their trucks over night, they got out but the trucks are still on the mountain. We went out today with 3 snowmobiles and a gnarly jeep but didnt get to them till almost dark, its going to be a lot of work to get them out.

friday early morning we are gonna make another run at getting them out before they get snowed in for the season or they have to pay for a bulldoser to get them out. if you have time or a truck or any way to help let me know. no stock truck is going to get there, a built jeep rubicon fully locked on 35 inch swampers was having trouble getting there.

PM me for my phone number.

Sounds like a hell of trip. Make sure you bring the right supplies for a night stay of a few days of supplies.

oh we will, we had like 15-20 people today, including 3 4x4 ATVs, a rhino UTV like 6 trucks, and 3 snowmobiles, and a gnarly jeep, its not that far up the hill from where the road is plowed but its just deep from there on.

----------

bru, thank you very much for the offer, but we are trying to avoid that route, i am very familiar with the snow and the hazards that it brings, as i grew up in the mountains with snow, i have also been through a few mountain survival classes and i worked with search and rescue up in tahoe when i lived up there. we are fully prepared and organized, the only reason i ask for more help is the biggest thing we dont have is trucks gnarly enough to break trail and the snow mobiles dont pack it enough.

well they went on this giant loop of a road and made it like 3/4s of the way around but got stuck. so we tried to come from behind but it got too nasty so we started from the other end but by that time it was too late in the day, we got to the trucks and moved the front one like 15 feet, but the snow had gotten too soft, i feel like if we get up there early on friday on the snow mobiles and start working the front truck down while the big trucks move from the bottom up we could get them out.

not sure about others - maybe some exhaust mods that won't mess with Cali emissions.

the first pic is of the trucks where they sit, the other is the mountain where they are, the trucks are about the highest point you can see on that mountain.

Good Luck.

Seeing the pictures brings back memories of college and winter wheeling. Looks like it is time to break out the snowshoes and shovels!

some drunk dude on a snowmobile randomly rode by and told us his snow mobile would pull em out no problem, after a good laugh we hooked it up and let him try. he got about 15 feet of slack and just pinned it, the only result was him flipping over the front of his snowmobile hahahaha
