Dammit. Spent money I didn't have to :(
Yesterday my expedition started to run like shit. Sounded like it was missing BAD. I looked on CL for coil packs. What good timing. A guy selling 5 Brand New coil packs for 10 each!.
So I buy them, drive 1hr each way to pick them up.
Turns out it was just a vaccum line had popped off.
Ohwell, 5 packs for the price of one is ok in my book!

Re: Dammit. Spent money I didn't have to :(
well come to find out that the coil pack was the problem. I thought at the time it might have been the #4 injector wire come loose as one side of the tab is broke. Upon trying to make sure it was on, I must have bump on the vaccum line.
This made it run worse. So fix the vaccum line still run like its missing. Had the code read, misfire on #3. So, I just put in all new plugs, it calls for iridium!? put on the five new coil packs just because and put them on #3,4,7,8, since those are the hardest. Now tho one of the injector o-rings is ripped(go figure) so I have to jet down to auto zone and buy a pack of 2 for $3.
It was running smooth again tho when I started it up.
So about 100 into 5 coil packs and 8 plugs, thats really a deal you cant pass up.

lol! 57. Hell its only 34 here!
I got everything finished up. The plugs were original and did not look that bad. But holy Chr*st, those irridium plugs with the 5 new packs really gave her some nuts, Its got 285 hankook muds on it and she'll break them loose now.
and I noticed the mileage on the ohc has alreay gone up to 19 hwy at 65

I got the 5.4. Actually it was very easy to get at the plugs. I started the passanger side first. I unhooked one of the heater core hoses and zip tied it to the battery cable, unbolted the fuel rail. And then its a cake walk, take out the coil pack screw, take the plug out.
The ones against the firewall were the toughest. But with a bendy on the extension it was not bad at all.

You should have pulled some error codes first before guessing.
