Cool Got a new toy. Check it out! (56K nuh uh)

Hmmm. Whatever could this be for?

Oh, this!

1980 Jeep Cherokee Chief. 360ci V8, full time all wheel drive and 6 lug axles.

Plans include freshening the motor, 6" all spring lift and 35s or 37s. It looks a little ruff right now, but some paint and TLC will clean her right up!

Discuss.

Nice find!! Rusty's offroad will be a good place for suspension pieces. Good luck on the entire project.

I'm planning on getting the 6" all spring lift from BJs Offroad. They seem to be a good source for FSJs.

it is full time Quadratrak, but the previous owner put Warn hubs on it. He also swapped the front axle to a later model unit, which if I'm no mistaken, has the selectable locker. I'm gonna have to figure that out and see if I can get it to work.

As far as finding it, I mentioned to a guy at work that I was looking for a trail rig project, and he said his dad had this old Cherokee, and he'd prolly come off it cheap. After several months of shopping around, I couldn't get this beast out of my head, so I went and picked it up.
