Any Drifters here?
Idk about you guys but I love me some drifting. The Smoke, the sounds the bit of tire that hits you in the face. Awesome. Now that the new Formual D season is comming up I was wondering if anyone here drifted? It is something I want to get into but like all things it cost money. Alot of money. The hobbies I have now eat away at that. SO if there are post up your rides and explain a bit how you got into the sport OR for the non drifters but fans B.S. about your fav. drivers.

Re: Any Drifters here?
about a year ago i bought a '97 eagle talon off of a neighbor who was moving for $2 as something to sell and make a quick buck on. got so many morons calling that i decided that if it wasint sold by winter i wanted to try to put it togeather to run in the adarondack ice races, in the street legal class. dont hear much about it but damn neat lookin sport, to go fly around a frozen lakebed

Yeah, me and my ranger love drifting... nothing like hittin 90 degrees on a hairpin at 70 mph. Yup... in my ranger... with a 2.3 that gets 100hp... yup. No seriously dude Drifting- ?rangers don't drift where I come from... just let it go.

Re: Any Drifters here?
ive been known to fancy a sideways.
this is my fourth s12.
first was a 84 turbo, swapped the motor on it to a ka24de, parted it out.
second was a 87 SE, badass car. plenty of torque. every day i drove that car it went sideways. stock suspension allowed crazy feints.
third was a 85 base model. slow, but i would still manage to get the bitch sideways. it was the car all my freinds wanted to ride in hahah
lastly, that s12. vg30e swap, full cage, convertible.
getting into fd isnt easy. neither is drifting. its not just about getting your car sideways.

Alot of rally car drivers are drifters. Ryhs Millen started off in rally, samuel hubinette started with ice racing I believe and Tanner Foust took a break this year to persue Rally full time. Look at Ken Block. Rally car driver thats a bad ass drifter. Its not about losing control its about losing control but still being in control lol.

Re: Any Drifters here?
I drift my ranger all winter long on the snow covered roads, and sometimes in the summer in the rain. I prefer snow though, a lot easier on tires

Re: Any Drifters here?
yeah its fun to get sideways but i feel bad cause rangers arent ment to do it, so i try to keep my foot out of it for the most part, but ill admit to pitching it sideways around some turns. as for real drifting those guys are nuts, and very talented. PROPS.
