People would be too if.... RENAMING in teenage years or even a lot later was a simple thing to do.

Go for the pictures....you'll have lots of suggestions. Besides we would all love to see what he looks like. Part Lab. Labs are fine dogs but good to avoid the ball fetching thing...they won't stop. Otherwise fine dogs for walking and general good behaviour.

We decided it today. I posted this thread before we named him. Aubie is the name of the Auburn University mascot. I am not an Auburn fan, but part of my family is and my little brother got the final decision on the name.

You notice...a bit here but more elsewhere...that people quickly get all riled-up over domesticated pets (not animals in the food chain)..often extremely so. Talk about this or that anywhere about poor people...talk about pet type animals and voila..lots of help. But of course the SPCA ends up having to put down so many every-year because those animals didn't get a home in time to save their lives. 10's of thousands in Canada & the U.S.A. every year. Great for you to take in a stray..make sure that is so...but consider getting him fixed to do your part in reducing the unwanted/doomed population of dogs in your state. Same for all everywhere.

My 120 lb 1 yr old Pit is named Diesel... he has ran through screen doors, bedroom doors, the plastic protector that goes in the doggy door slot to lock it...
