study's have shown that smoking weed does not increase your chance of getting lung cancer but they say it can effect you like tobacco with lack of breath and wheezing

this is piece of info that is interesting

Drugs used in medicine are routinely given what is called an LD-50. The LD-50 rating indicates at what dosage fifty percent of test animals receiving a drug will die as a result of drug induced toxicity. A number of researchers have attempted to determine marijuana's LD-50 rating in test animals, without success. Simply stated, researchers have been unable to give animals enough marijuana to induce death.

"8. At present it is estimated that marijuana's LD-50 is around 1:20,000 or 1:40,000. In layman terms this means that in order to induce death a marijuana smoker would have to consume 20,000 to 40,000 times as much marijuana as is contained in one marijuana cigarette. NIDA-supplied marijuana cigarettes weigh approximately .9 grams. A smoker would theoretically have to consume nearly 1,500 pounds of marijuana within about fifteen minutes to induce a lethal response.

i dont smoke weed and i never will, but i agree that it is not dangerous and people who smoke weed are not all criminals. really i think if people want to choose to smoke than they should be able to.

like I said I don't smoke but I see the facts. Don't let the propaganda influence your decision.

I see no reason why if someone wants to chill out and smoke a joint they can't

Well IF it becomes legal in Cali, it should be like alcohol. No one under 21 can use it, no driving and smoking marijuana, and so on.

for sure, it has to be regulated because anything can be abused just like alcohol or presciption drugs.

The only thing I can think of is they would have to find a way to test to see if you were under the influence of it or not at the current time of the infraction

Its not 100% harmless, but then again neither is red meat, or coffee, or basically 65%+ of what you put in your body...Processed food causes more cancer than weed (******* cancer at that)

Sure, the smoke from marijuana is hotter than cigarette smoke, so that can kill cells in your lungs, there is no study to prove it, but common sense tells you dead cells can turn malignant (sp?)... BUT marijuana smoke doesnt contain the deadly chemicals that tobacco smoke does. If you chew on weed stems, you wont run the risk of having your jaw removed.

Not to mention if it is passed, it isnt like employers cant not tell you to smoke it. In America employers have the right to not hire people as long as it isnt based on race, religion, or sexual orientation. If they want you to pass a drug test still, they are more than welcome to make that a requirement.

So dont give into this reefer madness bullshit. Just like mommy and daddy lied about santa and the easter bunny, they fed your head full of bullshit about pot too. Thats another reason I think it is a gateway drug, because people are misinformed...When these kids get into pot and figure out mommy and daddy lied to them, then they are more likely to think everything their parents said about drugs is bullshit...then they are most likely to believe their pusher over their parents.

Like I said you guys are just looking at the negative affects it has. Camodown brought up a lot of good points that you guys can't argue against because it's true. And think about it if this passes here and all goes well other states might follow the trend years Down the road. And if you look again at the pic it says 21 and older can buy and posses.
