Winter is finally hitting CT, and I can't be going back to Cali any sooner! Don't know how I will be dealing with these winters when I have to come back, they don't have this kind of thing in SoCal.. haha

Stopped at Home Depot and got sandtubes (4x60lbs) and threw em over the rear axle.

Gonna build a containing box around the wheel wells to hold them in place later this week.

YAY SNOW!
Yeah I need to do that, my truck with the fiberglass bed makes it a sled on wheels if I don't have something in the bed.

I hear ya lol I would be tempted to use that for more pranking purposes than snow clearing purposes lol, would be way easier to "snow" someones front door in with that thing than a shovel!

my area is right on the edge of 3"-6" and 6"-12".... so technically we can get anywhere from 3"-12" lol. We had an epic storm last February, wouldnt mind getting another one like that.

It was during a shutdown week at work but I still had to work. I had to park my truck all the way at the end of the parking row because they were plowing the other side when I got in. by 11:45am when i left, the snow drift was on my hood!. we had 8' snow drifts on the back side of the building. what was normally a 10 minute drive for me, turned into about a 45 minute drive. 4-low 2nd gear plowing snow with my truck all the way down the mountain because I was the only ******* that had to go the opposite way of everybody else (they all live on the other side of the mountain) So I finally get home, I pull in across the street against the guard rails and PennDOT comes by and plows me in, I got snow 1/2 way up my window and Im still sitting in the truck, so up over the center console I go to get out of my damn truck.

Edit: They canceled the eagles game today too

not really, were used to getting alot of snow but the weather forecasters tend to cry wolf about everything that comes across the lake and some tend to freak out sometimes and close schools and cancel events and its usually for no reason.

Same on this side of the state. The storm they forecast is the one we don't get. We got our own little micro-climate kind of thing here in the thumb, the east side in particular.
