Default Re: Who's ready for winter?..

They have been getting lots of snow some places like Minnesota and Wisconsin several times. Less than 50 miles to the South West of me..London to Lucan area..got I think they said well over 100cm's in one day..about 40 inches plus. Buffalo..as usual lots too. Nothing to whine about here..shoveled my driveway about 3 times so far and each time it didn't take long. What I hate more than anything is a big deep freeze..no matter where you live you may get that...but the definition vary. I imagine hitting the freezing point (32 F?) in Florida or California would be a big freeze. Here -20C is possible....our big freeze. Out West in both countries they can see way colder than that. Add a strong wind and it must be terrible..but for those that have lived there for a long time..I guess they get used to it. There is supposed to be a big (as in area coverage) storm coming from the West today..already got Minnesota, Wisconsin and some others...gonna get a very wide area as it moves to the East.

Our power just went out. Some dickhead probably smashed into a powerpole. Stupid drivers forget that snow and ice is slippery!

Don't have a woodstove anymore, wish I did. I just got the generator out so I can run my furnace.

Sweet!!! Hamilton finally got snow, and I think it's going to stay

Stopped at Home Depot and got sandtubes (4x60lbs) and threw em over the rear axle.

Gonna build a containing box around the wheel wells to hold them in place later this week.

YAY SNOW!
