i have a tractor with a plow but i love a nice snow blowed driveway. plus theres no grass and sprinkler damage or huge piles of snow at the end of winter.

Re: Who's ready for winter?..
I got a block heater installed and new Destination ATs installed, I just need a battery blanket and an oil pan heater.
The snow blower needs work, it got the crap beat out of it last winter. It wasn't designed for 4' of snow. The impeller and scraper plate are worn, it probably needs a new belt (it's 7 years old) and probably a new spark plug. I suspect the whole impellor will need to be replaced since the rubber is rivited on.

yeah we got slammed pretty good with a shit ton of snow 2 seasons ago and my 10 year old ranch king snowblower really took a beating. the scraper was shot, augers worn out and belts also. i anded up borrowing my dads yamaha blower to use last season. it was time to retire the old ranch king. that 8 horse Tecumseh motor still had a few more years in it though. the way this Ariens is built it ought to last me 20 years (i hope) the thing is built like a tank.
i also just put a set of destination AT's on my F-150, looking forward to seeing how they perform in the snow.
