i think the reason why they dont have a parachute is 1. it would make it harder to squeeze through those small places. and 2. it would add a lot of extra weight.

I've met the guys that do this work when we've had radio work done at the FD on our tower. They're all insane. I get sick to my stomach watching it on the video. I'd probably die of a heart attack trying to do it for real.

what got me the most was at the end when hes just standing on the top of the beacon light before he tied off. i have a hard time walking on the roof of my damn house, these guys are nuts! i sure hope they get paid well.
