Default Redneck slug

so im sure that this is one of those things im suppose to say not to try at home; and is purely for educational purpose on what to not do.

so anyways i herd of a rumor about people making slugs out of cheap bird shot. did some more research and figure out how. and it actually works pretty damn good. all you have to do is make a cut in between the gun powder and the birdshot. i found that you have to cut all the way around only leaving about a 1/4 of plastic left. the idea is when you shoot it the top half of the shell separates from the bottom keeping the bird shot enclosed in the top half of the shell.

the normal birdshot is on the top and the redneck slug is on the bottum

so i stood back about 40 or 50 feet and shot a piece of card board with the bird shot.

than i shot it from the same distance with the redneck slug

and it also shoots a lot farther than bird shot to. not sure how far we were lobbin em but there were goin pretty damn far just not accurate at all. and make sure you dont have a choked barrel

Well you definately picked the right title for this one! Just in case the 1" hole didn't stop the unsuspecting burglar, the hundred pellet size holes will surely finish him off!

I showed this to my dad, he said they would cut the tops off shotgun shells and dump all the bb's out and shoot the plastic wads at each other

Good Lord! Might be interesting to try that..... Not sure it has any real use though LOL. Without accuracy there's no point in trying to take game with it. Well, at close range maybe... You'd have to hunt the animal much like you would with a bow....

Working on gathering parts, paint, vynals, and such for the rest of the build LOL. I use this as an everyday truck, but it's also the only truck I have for hunting and general off road fun. Hoping to make it much better than stock!

Interesting, but I don't have the balls to try that. I am curious just how powerful this is, got anything to shoot that could be penetrated? Block of wood, or something like that.
