Mowed yards for two years to buy a '77 Cutlass Supreme with the Olds 350 and a 4bbl. Paid $450 for it when I was 15, and had to wait a year to start driving it everyday, but it was in perfect mechanical shape after I had a year of working on it!

My first car/truck is my Ranger now. My uncle owned this vehicle since it came off the lot in 91. It was then given to my dad, a total GM guy, and my dad gave it to me after I hassled my mom out of a lot of child support payments(my dad was going to sell it for money for child support). And to this day he says that is probably the best pickup he has ever owned. I'm extremely thankful everyday

1987 Ford Escort GT---first brand new vehicle when I was 20. Purchased in Sept. '86. That means I'm OLD
I had my grandfather co-sign for me, then worked my ass off at Friendly's Restaurant to pay it off early. When you're making $6.00/hour, those $200 payments can be tough. That car taught me a lot of lessons as far as money management goes.

Very first vehicle was an 85' 4x4 chev stepside! My uncle let me drive it for $50 a month since he had bought it to completely restore. I drove that through highschool(yes I had a job when I turned 16 lol)

Second car my first 2 years of college was an 02 zx2 escort that I took a 5k loan out for

Now that I've been out on my own I sold the escort and used the money for a downpayment on my 08 1500 chev. So that one I'm still paying on.

The ranger was paid for in cash because I was smart enough to put $200/month in a savings account
