27 is just the window sticker. Nobody pays anywhere near that if they have half a brain. There is 3500 in rebates on it & 1500+ markup in it. Now I am down to 22 for a brand new truck. Now look at my trade. An 09 4cyl 5spd with 14000 mikes on it. I only owe 6700 on it. I an pretty sure they will give me a few grand more for it than I owe. Now I'm down to 18 or so for a new truck. I put down 1500 on it & I am only borrowing 16 or so for a "27,000 truck"
I have bought so many new ones over the years. Used has no appeal to me. What I have now is used. I want new..

Also if a full size truck would fit in my garage. That is for sure what I would have.

I prefer gray over black (I have the dark gray ). The gray looks like the XLT (because of the chrome in the front end). Go with the FX4 if you like the added options. Here in Canada, the FX4 is optional under the Sport model. In Canada, the MSRP on the FX4 with auto is just under CAD$29,599. With employee pricing and delivery allowances, it's down to CAD$22,433 plus taxes. Should be even cheaper in the US. Good luck!

Different strokes for different folks. Wasn't trying to lecture, hope it didn't sound that way.
New trucks are nice...no doubt about it. Look forward to seeing what you get.

2 car garage. 3 cars. 2 drivers. Just makes sence. I've had the Mustang will be 4 years in January & it only has 12000 miles on it. It sits in the garage & collects dust most of the time.
I'm tired of fighting the bad winters we've been having with a 2wd truck. I'm tired of scraping the windows & going out every morning to let it warm up in the winter.
I will miss the Mustang. It's a fun car. But the new Ranger will be fun to & practical compaired to what I'm doing now.

I see you're going for the grey one.
Although i wish ford would have had a darker shade of grey, it's gona save you a lot of cleaning time, my truck gets dirty just by being under a rain cloud during a sunny day..
Hell just thinking about it, i bet my truck just got dirtier.
Grats on the new purchase!

I'm with ya on the darker shade. I have always liked charcoal grey metalic.
Thanks, I am looking forward to getting it. Have no idea what mods to do at this point. But some sort of a lift & bigger tires seem like a must somewhere down the road.

and you don't need to change the keys, the stock ones will let you lift 3" and still retain the warranty
