yes 2011 grey sport..i think the sport models are basically the fx4 models for the newer models so i think they have the skid plates and better tbars and such..thats just what im assuming but id run it past stl lol

That is sounding like a good plan. Just go order a fully loaded 2011 4x4 Gray Ranger Sport.
I sure am going to miss the mpg of the 4 cyl.

What's the current HP on the 4.0?

all i could find is the 09 and it has 207hp @ 5250 RPM and torque is 238 @ 3000 RPM

and with my 03 i average about 15.5 mpg and thats driving roughly 30 miles a day in town and on freeway i get like 16.5

You really want to go drop 27k on a brand new Ranger when you can probably find a used one in great condition, with low miles, for probably 10k less? Rangers are great trucks, but I think you have to be crazy to go out and drop that much money for a brand new one. You could take that 27k and go out and buy a practically new F150. Or a diesel thats only a few years old. Think about it....

I bought my 05 with 33k miles on it for 13k.

But if you're set on buying a new Ranger, i'd also shoot for a DSG Ranger with all the options you want. Full length center console, bucket seats, sliding glass window, exc.

That DSG almost looks like a 2 door extended cab also. You don't want that. Ask me how I know LOL
